As you moved to where you thought you had last seen Raithe she was gone. You closed your eyes to try and reach out by sensing her Aura, but something peculiar happened. Your senses were so bombarded by Aura all around you that it was like getting hit with a flash bang.
"Holy sh-""What's wrong?" Teuta asked, rushing up to check on you, since you were about to curse out loud.
"I don't know... The Aura here is crazy strong. Is that normal?"
Teuta closed her eyes. "Hm. It feels strong, but I can usually only tell if there is or isn't any around me. This is basically how it feels when I try to sense Aura around a bunch of Mages. It's rough."
"Oh." Before you could strain your brain looking for the source, Teuta tapped your shoulder.
"Yes?""Ask Jeane. She knows how to read Aura."
"Got it! Thanks Teuta." You darted off before she could say anything else.
"No problem." She chuckled, wandering back to pick up the pieces of the straw dummy that were strewn about.
"Not bad, not bad." She said to herself happily.
"He's getting really strong~""So happy to see you're doing better." The voice was that of Raithe. Teuta leaned back suddenly. She was startled.
"Miss Raithe? You're Awake. This is good news." She began to turn around.
You ran into the manor. It was a guest manor given to you for the purpose of resting. The property belonged to House Pieds and was on the rim of fennek's ring a little further down from the Heart estate. Or at least, what used to be the Heart estate. As you made your way through the entryway and into the main sitting room, you saw Jeane sitting close to the fireplace awkwardly trying to match two ends of a comb that could be cracked in half.
"Uhh..." Your eyes centred on the comb. In frustration, she threw away both halves and sunk into her lounge chair."What is it?"
"Is it normal that there's so much Aura all around?" You asked, trying to move past the matter of the comb, since she did before even bringing it up.
Jeane looked up, then around the room casually. "For the most part. The other factor, however, is Miss Raithe. The ring radiates Aura, but so does she, now."
"How so?" As you asked that, Joi wandered over like a cat seeking affection. You glanced her way, then knelt down to stroke her ears as she licked you hand. You were exceptionally guilty that Joi ended up in such a state.
"Sorry..." You muttered to her. Joi merely smiled, tongue lolling out over her bottom lip. All she knew was that you were talking to her. You sighed and turned your head. In another lounge chair Kara was sitting, staring blankly at the fire-place with her mouth open."Hero, are you listening?"
You turned your attention back to Jeane fully and stood up. "Yes! Sorry. I'm listening. Raithe is giving off a lot of Aura?"
Jeane shook her head, eyes shutting. She stared towards the courtyard, through the wall, her ears twitching.
"Hm." You did not know that she was looking in the direction of Raithe.
"If only that were true. First Kara and now her. Both of those foxes were actually pretty bright when it came to giving off Aura. What Raithe gives off now is pure, Chaotic Aura." Jeane opened one eye before you could open your mouth.
"You were about to ask if that is bad, no?" You could not even be amazed at this point. You nodded. She smirked smugly.
"As you should know, the application of Aura involves the use of the mind. For mage a Shape is formed within the mind, Logic underpinning that concept with rules and then conditions are added which modify the final result. What we have at the end of all that is a spell.""Uhh..." Your mouth hung open.
Jeane sighed, resting her cheek on her hand. "I suppose for you, it would seem like we just memorise spells from a book and cast them willy-nilly!"
