It had been hours since Threshing had finished, and currently everybody was relishing in the newly found solidarity that came from their individual rooms. Isolde in particular was absolutely taking advantage of her room and the lack of other people in it. Many of the other cadets had decided to partner up with another and engage in various tension relieving activities but that didn't quite enchant her.
Pain had essentially enveloped her body in its entirety, so she used the time alone to strip the clothes off of her body and chuck them in a corner by her chest of drawers and just relished in being able to be fully naked for the first time since she had arrived. Isolde used the small sink that stood in the other corner of her room to splash a bit of cold water onto her body, removing some of the sweat from places she wouldn't be able to display in the communal showers unless she went at an awkward time during the night.
Her runes stayed on as she wasn't foolish enough to think nobody would storm into her room, but seeing her naked would be easier to explain than if she had a different appearance. She sprawled herself out on her bed, enjoying the slightly softer sheets as she thought over the recent events that had previously occurred. No one other than Tairn knew that she was the one that killed Tomas and Dorian and most within the college probably hadn't even noticed that they had not yet returned.
She was certain that when their names were called out at tomorrow's reading of the death scrolls fingers would immediately be pointed towards Garrick and those with the rebellion relic and she realised how idiotic it was of her to kill them. But as she looked back on it, the rage she felt was larger than anything she had ever experienced in her life, and she wasn't sure if she found it something to enjoy or if it was something she should fear.
"Tairn?" She tried to use their connection to communicate. "Yes?" He replied. "Do you think I should tell Garrick and the others about Tomas and Dorian before tomorrow's scrolls?" He paused. "How grateful I am to be involved in such trivial human conversation." Sarcasm dripped from his tongue, but he turned serious. "I think it depends. If it is to prepare them so they don't react tomorrow, then I believe it to be a good choice but if it an admission of guilt then I do not support it." He inhaled.
"Despite the thoughts flowing through your mind, you made the correct decision. Dorian and Tomas had made their actions clear, and decisions are not without consequences."
"However, regardless of whether or not you tell them, a consequence will bestow itself on you whether you like it or not. Perhaps by whom you least expect it to come from." The last part of his speech caused Isolde to raise her brow at the ominousness laced throughout the words. "So, you think I should tell them?" She plucked the t-shirt she had stolen from Garrick off of the floor and slipped it on, finding it a bit odd that she was having a conversation with a dragon whilst being completely naked.
