Seungmin and Jeongin walked through the campus together, arm in arm, Some students whispered to their friends with surprise, some stared with curiosity.

Jeongin noticed the attention they were drawing,
"It's funny" Jeongin mused.
"We were once had fights infront of them and now we're drawing more attention as a couple than we ever did as enemies."

Seungmin chuckled at Jeongin's remark. "Maybe we should thank our past selves for that. If it weren't for our rivalry, we might never have been forced to spend so much time together."

Minho and Han were standing a short distance away. When they spotted the new couple approaching, their eyes widened in surprise.

"Well, look at you two" Han teased with a sly grin spreading across his face.
"You two finally worked things out" Minho added him too, a knowing smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

Jeongin rolled his eyes with blushing "Yes, you don’t need to rub it in."
" we're definitely going to rub it in," Han retorted a smile on his face "You two were too stubborn to confess each other where we all could see the affection"
Jeongin whimpered , burying his face in his hands. "Please, not you too."
Seungmin chuckled, wrapping an arm around Jeongin’s shoulder. "Don’t worry, he’s just jealous that we’re cuter as a couple now "

Han placing a hand dramatically over his heart. "Excuse me, I am perfectly capable of being the cutest."
Minho just laughed, shaking his head. "You two are unbelievable.”

Han glared at minho's laugh "why are you laughing!" He almost jumped wrapping his arms around minho's neck as he was short he was barely hanging on Minho's neck "we're cuter than you guys" han said looking at them.
Minho struggled against Han's hold as he was gagging  "Hanah!! let go, you're choking me!"

Seungmin and Jeongin shared a look, trying not to laugh.
Minho finally managed to pry Han's arms off his neck, gasping for air. "You are insufferable."

Time skipped
Seungmin walked hand in hand with Jeongin as they approached Jeongin's house.
Seungmin glanced at Jeongin, taking in his side profile. He couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest by affection for the boy beside him.

Jeongin rang the doorbell but no response came. He furrowed in confusion as he rang the doorbell again, But still no answer.
"That's weird. My mom should be home."
He reached out his phone to call his mom but expression changed to worry as he noticed the multiple missed calls from his mom on his phone.
"what the hell, it was silent" Jeongin almost shouted , immediately called back. His hands trembled slightly as he waited anxiously for his mom to pick up the phone.

Finally, the sound of his mom's voice came through the line.
"Mom, where are you?" Jeongin asked with worry.
Jeongin's mom sounded tired but replied, "jeongin I'm at hospital. I've been trying to reach you for long. your dad has finally woken up"
Jeongin's face showed a mix of surprise and relief upon hearing.

Seungmin watching his expression with concern " what happened?"
He turned to Seungmin and looked at him "It's my dad. He's in the hospital and he's awake. he's awake from the coma"
Seungmin's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Seriously? That's great news!" He placed a hand on Jeongin's shoulder squeezing
"Let's go to hospital. He must be waiting for you"

Jeongin nodded. He led the way towards the hospital, his steps quickening with each step. He couldn't believe it, his dad was awake after months of being in a coma. It was almost too good to be true.

Seungmin and Jeongin walked through the hospital corridors until they reached the room where his dad was staying.
Jeongin took a deep breath, before pushing open the door.
Jeongin's mom looked up as they entered, a relieved smile on her face. His brother, wonie was oblivious to the situation sitting beside his mother.

Jeongin's eyes went to bed laying on his dad. He looked weak and sick but his eyes were open and he was clearly conscious.
Jeongin's dad, visibly weak but  overjoyed, looked up as Jeongin entered the room.
"Jeongin, You're here."

Jeongin rushed to his dad's bedside with teary eyes,
"Dad, I can't believe you're awake." Jeongin's voice was trembling.
Jeongin's dad gently squeezed his hand, "It's okay, I'm here now."
Seungmin stood a short distance away, observing the emotional reunion between Jeongin and his dad. He felt his heart swell with affection for the boy.
Wonie seeing the moment between Jeongin and their dad, suddenly piped up, "Dad, when can we go home?"
Jeongin's mom gently ruffled his hair and replied, "Soon, sweetie. Dad just has to get better and then we can all go home together."

"You guys have some time alone"
Jeongin watched as his mom and his little brother left the room, leaving him and Seungmin alone with his dad. He turned back to his dad, holding his hand tightly.

But before he could speak, his dad spoke up
"Jeongin, I'm sorry."
Jeongin's eyes widened with surprised. "For what?"
Jeongin's dad sighed faintly, "For leaving you all alone for so long. For making you worry."
Jeongin shook his head with tears building in his eyes, "You don't have to apologize, dad. None of it was your fault."
Jeongin's dad gave a weak smile, "I know, but it doesn't make me feel any less guilty. I'm the one who's supposed to be there for you, for the family. but I put all weights on you. i know you had to go through a lot pressure taking care of family, of my health "
Jeongin's heart clenched at his dad's words.
"Dad," he began, "It's true, it was hard. But I did my best. I took care of all, couldn't i? I'm now stronger to handle these matter! I'm not little innie anymore" his voice choked with emotion.

Jeongin's dad smiled and placed a soft peck on his forehead saying "thank you my child for keeping my family strong. But You don't have to worry about all these anymore. I'm here now"
Jeongin closed his eyes for a moment with relief.
"I'm just glad you're awake, dad" Jeongin said softly.

Seungmin stood nearby, silently observing the scene between Jeongin and his dad.
The way Jeongin's dad spoke to him with love, the way Jeongin's eyes filled with tears as he squeezed his dad's hand.
He felt his heart ached watching the tender love, he longed for the similar connection with his own dad.
seeing Jeongin's dad's love and care hit him with jealousy and loneliness.
He envied Jeongin, who was lucky enough to have a father like that.
Seungmin couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be loved by his own dad in the same way. But deep down he knew, it was a dream that would never come true.

Jeongin's dad noticed Seungmin standing nearby, watching them with a somber expression
"Jeongin, who is that boy over there?"
Jeongin turned to look at Seungmin, He gave a small smile.
"That's Seungmin, my boyfriend."
Jeongin's dad raised his eyebrows in surprise  "Your boyfriend?"
Jeongin motioned for Seungmin signaling him to approach.
With a bit of hesitation, Seungmin walked over to Jeongin and his dad, trying to maintain a formal expression.

Seungmin approached Jeongin's dad and bowed with respect
"Hello, sir"
Jeongin's dad looked at him, sizing him up. "you're Jeongin's boyfriend??" He asked with a bit of curiosity.
Seungmin nodded, feeling a bit nervous "Yes, sir"
"Jeongin has told me that you’ve been there for him these past months."
"Yeah, I've been trying my best to support him. It was a tough time for him, and I just wanted to be there for him in any way I could." Seungmin replied honestly

Jeongin's dad smiled at Seungmin, "You seem like a good kid."
Seungmin smiled back with a relief.
Jeongin, watching the interaction between his boyfriend and his dad. he was happy that his dad seemed to like him.

"Seungmin, thank you for being there for Jeongin. I know he's been through a lot and your support must have kept him stronger" Jeongin's dad said with a gesture smile.
"It was the least I could do" Seungmin replied although he was feeling a bit awkward because he wasn’t used to receiving praise.
Jeongin took Seungmin's hand reassuring his boyfriend that everything is alright.
Jeongin's dad looked at their intertwined hands realized how important Seungmin was to Jeongin
"Then I'm glad Jeongin has someone like you by his side." Jeongin's dad said with approval eyes.
