The sun rose each day over The Refuge, casting a golden hue across the village as laughter and the sounds of training filled the air. Teddy and his new friends—Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko—had settled in remarkably well, their spirits interwoven with the vibrant life of the village.

"Watch me, everyone!" Teddy shouted, brandishing his sword with a grin. He mimicked the stances he had learned from Harriet, eager to impress his new companions.

Nezuko clapped her hands, her eyes sparkling with encouragement as she cheered him on silently. Though she didn't speak, her supportive presence radiated warmth, making the others feel at ease.

"You've improved so much, Teddy!" Tanjiro said, his smile brightening the morning. "Your stance is much better than when we first met!"

"Yeah! But watch out—if I get too strong, I might outshine you!" Teddy replied with playful bravado, causing Zenitsu to burst into laughter.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Zenitsu exclaimed, pretending to flex his muscles dramatically. "I'll be the strongest!"

Inosuke rolled his eyes, grinning. "You call that flexing? Let me show you how a real warrior does it!" He puffed out his chest and struck a pose, causing everyone to erupt in laughter.

As the weeks passed, the bond between the boys and the villagers grew stronger. They participated in daily training sessions led by Harriet, who encouraged both skill and teamwork. Together, they learned to wield their swords more effectively, but more importantly, they learned the essence of unity and camaraderie.

"Remember," Harriet would say, her voice calm yet firm. "Strength is not just about how hard you can swing a sword. It's about how well you fight alongside each other."

Under her guidance, they practiced not only their swordsmanship but also developed strategies for defense. The villagers embraced Tanjiro's spirit and Nezuko's gentle strength, recognizing their potential to help protect the Refuge.

One afternoon, as the sun dipped low in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds, Teddy gathered his friends for a friendly sparring match. "Alright! Let's see what you've got!" he declared, excitement bubbling in his voice.

The clearing transformed into a lively battlefield as the boys engaged in mock duels. Laughter mixed with the sound of clashing swords, each movement filled with enthusiasm and joy.

Teddy faced off against Inosuke, who charged at him with wild energy. "Prepare yourself!" Inosuke shouted, his boar mask bobbing as he lunged forward.

"You too!" Teddy countered, sidestepping just in time to avoid Inosuke's swing. He found his footing and quickly countered with a swift strike that Inosuke barely blocked.

"You're getting good!" Inosuke grinned, a hint of respect in his voice.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro sparred with Zenitsu, who was noticeably more cautious, his eyes wide with focus. "Don't be scared! Just attack!" Tanjiro encouraged, his tone warm and supportive.

"I'm not scared!" Zenitsu protested, but the tremor in his voice told a different story. He lunged, swinging his sword with all his might, only to have Tanjiro deftly dodge and counter with a gentle tap on his shoulder.

"Great effort! Just remember to breathe and focus."

After several rounds of sparring, they gathered around the training ground, panting but exhilarated. "That was amazing!" Teddy exclaimed, his cheeks flushed with excitement.

"Yeah, let's do it again tomorrow!" Inosuke declared, already anticipating the next challenge.

As they settled down, Harriet approached with Nezuko, who held a basket filled with fresh fruits and rice cakes. "I thought you might be hungry after all that training," Harriet said, her smile bright as she offered the food.

"Thank you, Harriet!" Tanjiro said gratefully, taking a piece of fruit and passing it to Nezuko, who accepted it with a soft smile.

Teddy's eyes widened as he noticed the food. "This looks delicious! Let's eat!"

As they feasted together, the boys shared stories of their adventures, laughter filling the air. Nezuko listened quietly, her eyes sparkling as she absorbed the camaraderie surrounding her. The warmth of friendship enveloped them like a comforting blanket.

After their meal, the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. Teddy leaned against a tree, looking up at the stars beginning to twinkle above. "I love it here," he said, his voice thoughtful. "It feels like we're a real family."

Tanjiro nodded, his expression earnest. "We are a family now. We've all been through so much, and we're stronger together."

Zenitsu, his usual cheerfulness returning, added, "And we'll protect each other, right? No matter what comes our way!"

Inosuke punched his fist into the air. "Exactly! We'll show any demon who dares to challenge us!"

As their voices echoed through the forest, Harriet watched her son and his friends, her heart swelling with pride. She felt a sense of purpose in the air, a promise of strength that would continue to grow.

They are not just children, she thought, but warriors in their own right. Together, they will face whatever darkness lies ahead.

As the night deepened, they remained in their circle, sharing stories, dreams, and laughter, the bond of friendship growing stronger beneath the starlit sky. This was not just a village for the forgotten; it was a sanctuary for warriors, united in their fight against the shadows threatening their world.
