Starfruit yawns as she gets up from her bed, she was extremely bored no new task had been given to her in months and Págo and Icecube haven't returned with anything to report. Starfruit began to clean her scales and then quickly grabbing her mask and putting it on.
As she left her hut she was greeted by Starcounter, "Hey Starfruit, good to see you awake." Starfruit nodded exchanging the greeting, "It is well to see you too, Starcounter." Starcounter was one of the least annoying dragons in the Masked, he was pretty loyal and didn't seem to show too much emotions, besides being very close to Scavengers, which was one thing Starfruit found strange.
"So, do you want to go get some breakfast with me and Secretary?" Starcounter said with a neutral voice, Starfruit nodded and said, "Sure, I could go for some fruits and perhaps some cow." Starcounter then flew up with Starfruit following slightly behind.
Soon, they flying over the forest near the Masked stronghold, as they did Starfruit began to wonder how Págo and Icecube were doing with their mission. Needless to say Starfruit was bored, nothing was really happening and she was used to having lots of things to do.
They both then dived down and were met by Secretary, "Hey, good to see you two arrive." Starfruit nodded and they all began to hunt, Starfruit, quickly found a cow pouncing on it with all her ferocity, she needed some stimulation and this was the best way.
Moments later, Starcounter came over with a large sheep, "Nice catch." Starcounter said as he dropped his sheep at his talons before digging in, Starfruit then said, "Same for yours, is Secretary still hunting?" Starfruit bit into her cow as she looked up at Starcounter, he nodded as he swallowed down his sheep.
Suddenly, as they were talking about Secretary, she landed nearby with a mountain goat in her mouth, she then dropped it and began to dig into it. They all silently ate their meals, it was really boring but a little bit nice at the very least.
"So... Did either of you hear about what happened at Jade Mountain?" Starcounter said casually, Starfruit and Secretary shook their heads, neither had heard a single thing about this, Starcounter then said, "Apparently, someone blew up a classroom, thankfully nobody was killed but then one of icewing princesses who was there tried killing one of the dragonets of destiny, it's strange."
Starfruit nodded, honestly it all sounded like a bunch of problems that could have easily been prevented by simply having hired some guards. Secretary then said, "What happened to the icewing princess?" Starcounter shrugged and said, "I wasn't able to get any more info than that but I expect she's either dead, banished, imprisoned or somehow escaped." He then simply shrugged.
As Starfruit thought about that, she couldn't help but find it ridiculous to think such a high profile dragon doing such a crime could escape, it was almost humorous.
Suddenly, as they were sitting in silence, Moonlight appeared from the tree lines, "Hello, good to see you two and Starcounter.... I honestly didn't expect you three to get along but I suppose three would be better for the mission I have planned." Moonlight said, Starfruit felt a burst of excitement, finally a mission after so long.
Secretary then bowed and said, "What do you need us for?" Moonlight then said, "Well, a Icewing princess by the name of Icicle has attempted to harm the Dragonets of destiny after being blackmailed by Vine." Starfruit shuttered at the mention of Scarlet's most loyal pet, she wasn't as scary as Red but she had undying loyalty to Scarlet.
Moonlight then continued, "It has also been noted by our intelligence that Vine not only wants the Dragonet's of destiny dead but also Gradient." A mixture of shock and confusion hit all of them, why just Gradient?
Seemingly noticing their confusion Moonlight shrugged and said, "We only know this because of one of our spies accidentally over hearing Princess Icicle admit the targets to her brother, Prince Winter." Starfruit nodded quickly, she was prepared for this mission already.
"Although, this mission will require you to go to Judgment or the rainforest, find Icicle and bring her here for interrogation" Moonlight explained, Secretary and Starfruit quickly nodded then Moonlight left.
Starcounter had a glimmer of excitement on his face, "You look excited, is there something good about this?" Starfruit asked, Starcounter nodded and said, "Yeah actually, if we go to Judgment, I'll get to know all about it's SPP!" There was a surprising amount of excitement in his usual calm and cool voice as he said that.
Secretary suddenly butted in, "What's SPP?" Starcounter then said, "It stands for Scavenger Protection Program, basically it provides a safe place for Scavengers to thrive and that is everything I've ever wanted." Starfruit shrugged at this, she just wanted to go on the mission, but seeing her friends at Judgment might be fun, plus Starcounter definitely seemed like he'd choose to go there first no matter what, so might as well make sure he doesn't get killed if Icicle is there.
