Silver was going through the scrolls of who had entered and left Judgment, he began to read it out in his head, Entered: Reed, Salamander, Snake, Python, River, Lake, Icicle and Valley. Silver could have sworn some of the names sounded familiar but he simply kept reading the list.
Left: Salamander, Snake, Python, Lake and Eagle. Silver smiled, Eagle had been meaning to leave for a few days, it was good to know she was most likely heading back to the Skywing kingdom. Silver put up the visitation scrolls, he'd have to meet Reed, River, Icicle and Valley to see if they were staying or leaving in a few days.
Red suddenly entered the small office, "Oh, is Gradient still not back?" Red asked, Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, something came up apparently he had to stay for some reason." Silver then took out a scroll he was sent earlier today and showed it to Red.
"Yeah, that's definitely Gradient's talon writing, hopefully he's doing fine." Red said looking at the scroll, Silver nodded in agreement and said, "Yeah... Anyways what are you doing here?" Red then said, "Well, some dragons want to see you and for some reason Secretary and Starfruit is with them."
Quickly, fixing up small office Silver said, "Well I can't keep them waiting... Um... Do you wanna join me?" Red nodded and said, "Sure, let's get going." They then began to quickly head towards the entrance of Judgment.
As they made it through the halls, Silver couldn't help but wonder what Secretary and Starfruit were doing here. The cold stone floor, it was odd how cold it was tonight, it was as if the cave was trying to warn him of something sinister.
Red and Silver then stopped at the entrance, Silver stood slightly on guard as he noticed the Masked's signature mask around the base of Starfruit, Secretary and a nightwing's wing. Secretary quickly seemed to notice this as she said, "Hello again, Silver, may we speak to Gradient, there is a major threat coming for him." Silver then said, "Oh... Um, Gradient isn't here right now, what's wrong and who are they?" Silver pointed at the nightwing then the group of dragonets following them.
Secretary then said, "This is our companion, Starcounter," The nightwing bowed slightly in a very formal greeting, "And the dragonets are, Kinkajou, Moonwatcher, Prince Winter and Qibli." Secretary finished, Silver quickly stood at attention, he wasn't aware he was in the presence of Icewing royalty, if he had known earlier he would have tried to look nicer.
Starfruit then said, "Well, since we're all done introducing our allies, we should warn you, princess Icicle of the icewing's is after Gradient." Silver felt a chill go down his spine remembering the names on the list, Icicle, she was one of the few who didn't leave. Red seemed to notice Silver's sudden worry and said, "Silver, are you alright?" He slightly wrapped his wings around Silver, but Silver was in slight panic, if Gradient had returned earlier or they arrived later, then Gradient could have ended up dead.
"Silver!" Red said loudly knocking Silver out of his slight panic as he then frantically said, "Icicle's here!" Quickly reacting to this most of the dragons in the room went off to look for her, Silver followed Red, it must have been a miracle that Gradient had been held up back at the icewing kingdom. Red seemed to still sense Silver's dread and said, "Seriously, is something wrong?"
Silver hesitant but said, "Yeah.... I... I'm just thinking about what could have happened if Gradient was here before them... Would..... Would he be dead...?" Red was silent for a moment before saying, "Gradient is strong and strange, we both know this, he's always been one for peace because he has secrets we couldn't bare to understand."
There was another moment of silence before Red said, "I also know of a few animus trinkets Gradient has." Silver was surprised, "He told you?" Silver said puzzled, Red shook his head, "No, but you inviting me to work late with you has given me opportunities to hear you talk in your sleep, it's adorable."
Silver felt his face turn bright red with blush as he and Red continued toward the deeper parts of Judgement. Usually torches and light sources were put out but around the corner a slight glimpse of light remained. Red paused and motioned for Silver to stay quiet and low as the snuck around the corner.
As the pounced at the light Red landed on a icewing who was covered in burn marks, she began to thrash, "Get away from me, I can't fall asleep yet!" She hissed frantically trying to wrestle Red off her. Silver quickly came to Red's aid and used his safe silk to tie up the dragon, who they assumed was Icicle.
They then quickly rushed back to the entrance waiting for the others, Moonwatcher and Winter were the first to return and from the look on the prince's face, this was definitely his sister, Icicle. Winter began talking to his sister quietly, Silver tried not to pay attention as he truly did respect the icewing royalty, in fact his first crush was a icewing prince named Icecube.
Quickly the rest of the dragons returned and they began discussing Icicle's fate, "Well, obviously she should go back to the icewing kingdom for Queen Glacier to decide." Winter proclaimed, Starfruit scoffed, "No way, we were on a mission to capture her for information, well take her to the masked."
The two dragons refused to back down growling at each other, suddenly Silver noticed both Moon and Starcounter were paying attention to something else and they were drawing. Silver shrugged this off, before saying, "Um... Perhaps she could stay here till she's rehabilitated?" Winter seemed to be about to argue but stayed silent, Starfruit simply nodded before leaving quickly, it was odd as both groups left in a hurry.
None the less, Red and Silver took the now sleeping Icicle to a cell, Silver hoped she'd get better as her brothers probably cared for her.
