**Two years Later**

Outside the kitchen area, Wei Wuxian is flipping through his books, and Lan Wangji is seated at the table, quietly sipping tea.

Cangse Sanren is from the kitchen, "Breakfast is ready. I made your favorite, Wei Wuxian."

Wei Wuxian is grinning, "Is it? another bowl of instant noodles? Mom, I swear you’re trying to turn me into a noodle."

Lan Wangji is calmly, "Noodles are nutritious. Can you ever appreciate the food cooked by your mother? Mother cooks for you even though she is so sick and you just keep throwing tantrums all the time."

Wei Wuxian is teasing, "Right, Mr. Serious. Why are you getting angry at me so early in the morning when you should have absolutely no problem if I praise my mother's cooking or have some fun with her."

Cangse Sanren enters, placing a steaming bowl on the table as she is smiling, "Look at you two. Always bickering. Isn’t it time to show each other some affection? You two have been married for 2 years but you keep fighting with each other like politicians standing against each other in parliament."

Wei Wuxian is leaning back, "Affection? You mean like throwing noodles at each other? Mother, please do not remind me about such a dangerous event like marriage because you know how weak my heart is and remembering such a terrible situation and dreadful day makes my heart nervous."

Lan Wangji is unfazed, "We should focus on studying. Anyway, I know how terrible marriage can be, especially when your omega partner is a quarrelsome like you who always argues over every little thing."

Wei Wuxian tries to make himself look like a poor guy in front of his mother and angrily starts arguing, "Lan Wangji, what do you mean by quarrelsome when I am a very peaceful person. I never want to fight with you but as soon as I see your duck-like face, I don't know why I always get very angry and lose control of my senses and start fighting with you."

Wei Wuxian starts teasing Lan Wangji by always calling him the duck-faced alpha because he knows that such arguments make the alpha go silent as Lan Wangji feels deeply embarrassed that he doesn't look like a duck at all from any angle.

Lan Wangji is seriously, "I mean it. You need to focus."

Wei Wuxian is smirking, "Focus? What is that? Is it something you learned from being a robot?"

Lan Wangji’s eyebrow twitches slightly, hinting at a smile as he is deadpan, "Better than being a chaotic noodle."
