Olivia
"Now I just know you are not sneaking out of here for a sneaky link? And here I was thinking you were one of the good ones," I hear from behind me. I turn around & it's Nate.
I laugh and turn around fully, "firstly I'm too old for any sneaky links. I prefer the old saying going to see a man about horse."
"Oop well excuse me then. Let me sip my likka and mind my business," we both share a laugh.
"All jokes aside though that was just Spencer asking to meet up with me about some things."
I'm honestly still surprised at myself that I agreed to meet up with him. I can't necessarily put it all on the alcohol, because truth be told I didn't have much. I just know the little bit that I did have, there's no way it allowed me to have the courage to say yes to speaking with him. Whatever it is, I hope Spencer is thankful for it because if it was stubborn Liv that he was calling he would've went straight to voicemail.
"Everything good with you two?"
"Yeah," I exhale deeply before continuing, "just a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding being going on lately. And we finally agreed to speak on it with each other."
"Okay. The rest of the ladies know you leaving?"
"Uhh no, not at the moment."
"And you wasn't going to tell them?" She raises her brow of hers up as she crosses her arms.
"Ye—noo," I laugh, "I was but it was going to be through text. After all the drinks we've consumed, if not all then I know somebody is going to be extra when he does come."
"And that's a bad thing?"
I don't want to be rude, but also don't want to be too open with Nate either. Although we've had some conversations here and there and have a mutual friend, we don't necessarily know much about each other.
"No but yes at the same time. It's a bit complicated."
She nods her head and mouths oh. Before she could say anything else we hear Simone randomly yell out.
"I know damn well that is not Spencer James parked in the driveway! If he's not bringing me my fiancé aka soon to be husband then what the hell is he doing here!" She fusses but we can clearly hear the playfulness in her voice.
"Did you invite him here?" Kia asks after walking up to me.
"Liquid courage/carefree Liv answered his call and said that we could have that talk."
"You're actually going to have it with him?"
She looks shocked, which I honestly don't blame her. I'm shocked at myself especially after the way I've unnecessarily carried on.
"It's long overdue so I might as well, but I'm honestly not sure if I actually go through with it though. I mean what if I chicken out, walk pass his car and just go straight to mine? What if I get inside and just go on mute? I've been carrying on so unnecessarily that it doesn't make sense. I don't want to continue to hurt his feelings, but at the same time I still want to protect mine, Ki. And how do I relive & retell something that honestly hurt me without hurting myself any further than what I've done?"
"Unfortunately it's a little too late to be having what if questions swarming around in your head. You gave him the green light to come, you told him that y'all will talk, baby girl you cannot run nor avoid any longer. This is something you both need. Along with Jordan as well but we're going to save him for another day. Closure is necessary. Whatever and however you choose to act and move after it's been given is up to y'all, but this is something that needs to happen, so let it happen, Olivia. Give yourself a pep talk, throw water on your face, drink some water do whatever it is you need to get yourself together. And while you're doing that I'm about to go and try to save him from Patience and Simone. I know their drunk asses are talking his ears and head clean off."
