Spencer

"You and I both know sleeping with you wasn't a mistake?"

"So when you said mistake, what exactly were you implying, Olivia?" Throwing her head back, she sighs and walks away from me a little. "I-I-I don't know."

"Olivia—"

"Chastising me isn't going to make me come up with an answer, Spencer! It's not—it's not as easy or simple as you're trying to make it seem."

"I'm not trying to make it seem like anything, Olivia. That's just how it is. You give an HONEST answer to the question that you are being asked. There should be nothing to think about or figure out. You just say it, but it's obvious you can't." Unintentionally a non-amusing laugh slips out of my mouth again. "You know what, since it feels like you're being chastised like a child, and God knows that wasn't in my intentions, how about I leave and give you the space you need? That way you'll have all the time you need to get whatever story you have for me together and no pressure will be put on you. Sounds easy & simple to you?"

Before she could even respond back to I turn around and walks away. Not even giving her a chance to attempt to explain the jumble up thoughts running throughout her mind. In all honesty I'm not even sure if I was ready to hear which one of those events were or were not a mistake. However I am one thousand percent sure that—

"Spence!"

I hear someone shout from behind me, which frustrates me even more. Before I stretch my right arm out again to punch the bag I turn around and give them my attention. "What?!"

"Man cool your hotheaded ass down and step away from the punching bag," Chris retorts back to me.

Although I waved him off, I take what he said into suggestion and grab my bottle of water to take a sip from it.

"Glad to see you're alive and you haven't gone too far off of the grid yet."

Shaking my head, "aye man if you came down here to joke then you can just leave, aight? I'm in no mood for jokes or bullshit talks right now."

"Again cool your hotheaded ass down. I came here to confirm that you were down her and see what was up. Everybody has been basically blowing your cell up and haven't hit no one back yet."

"What? Black man can't come down to the gym and get a good workout in? Dil knew where I was."

"Yeah at seven thirty-five this morning when he last checked your location. Here it is damn near going on three and by the way your location is nonexistent at the moment."

"Well as you can see I'm fine, okay? So tell everyone they can turn off the amber alerts and put away the search lights."

Getting up from the bench I grab some dumb bells and decide to lift those for a couple of minutes.

"I thought I told you to stay in the car?"

"And I thought you told me you were coming in and dragging him out of here?" Shawn rolls his eyes and shakes his head before turning his attention to me. "Ayo Spence," he whistles to grab my attention fully, "it's time to go my boy. Let's go."
