After the incident of with Adam Banks I went to my locker and changed out.
"So Em I was thinking about going to Mickeys diner?" Connie asked.
"Yes that sounds perfect do you want to come with me and I can drop you off i'm sure my mom won't mind at all and we should totally invite Julie!!"
"Yes we should invite her and sure I was just gonna get a ride with Guy but that sounds better!" she says.
We both go up to Julie. "Hey Julie we were wondering if you would like to come to this diner with us right now and if you need i ride i got you!" i told Julie.
"Oh yes omg I would love to go and yes i will need a ride thank you!" Julie replies.
I grabbed my hockey bag and waited outside waiting for Julie with Connie. When she finally comes out we all walk up to my mom's car and go in. I tell my mom what's going on.
"Hey mom these are my new friends Connie and Julie, and I was wondering if you can take us to the diner and walk around then drop them off?" I ask my mother.
"Oh yes Emmy that sounds fine with me but you guys know your addresses right and your guardians know about this right?" my mom says.
"Yes ma'am" both girls say.
"Wait can I make a quick phone call to my mom really quick" Julie asks. "Of course, Julie right?" my mom says. "Yes it's Julie!" Julie says.
We stop at a pay phone and Julie gets off and makes a call telling her mom where she's going.
After the phone call I asks my mom to play "Girls Just wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. On our way to the diner we all sing along to the song and a few other songs as well. As we arrive my mom drops us off and says she's going back home to cook dinner and will be back whenever we call her to pick us up.
As me Julie, and Connie walk in we spot Lester, Charlie, and Adam. I'm pretty sure they saw us too because Charlie pointed to us and said "Hey Connie, Embreigh, and Julie!!"
We all say "hi" and go to their table booth and sit with them, the three of them on one side of the booth and us three girls on the other.
"So whatchu ya doing here?" Lester asked.
"Oh we just wanted to hang out and get to know each other more, how about you guys?" Connie says.
"Just hanging out as always and I craved a vanilla milkshake" says Charlie.
After about 2 good minutes of kind of awkward silence Charlie's mom comes up to us and asks us if we are ready to order. I ordered a cup of coffee, a cheeseburger with no tomatoes and a side of fries. Connie ordered a sandwich with a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake. Julie ordered a cheeseburger with extra onion, a side of fries, and a lemonade. And the boys just got all the same thing a cheeseburger, side of fries, and a milkshake of their choice.
As we waited for our food we all were talking and learning stuff about each other, I found out Lester's favorite color is orange. As everyone was talking I was just listening to what they were saying and nodding till I felt someone looking at me. Adam was looking at me, we made eye contact for a bit till he asked me something. "Why have you never joined our team till now?" he asked.
"Um good question, I guess after I had to leave my old team i kinda was scared to join a new team. I didn't know if it was gonna be the same but finally my parents talked to me and said maybe it would be a good idea to join a team again and I agreed and here I am about a few years later back on a team." I explained.
"Ohh well I'm glad you joined you seem like a really good player, well i mean you are your amazing but yea.." Adam says getting a bit embarrassed as I giggle a bit.
"Oh thank you Banks you are an amazing player too!" I say noticing his cheeks turn slightly pink and I think Connie notices that.
"Omg Em I think Adam is blushing!" Connie whispers in my ear so no one but I can hear.
"I think so too" I giggle.
After talking for a bit longer our food comes in and we all immediately start eating because of how hungry we were after practice.
When we finish up we pay and leave deciding to walk around a bit.
"So what's your favorite movie?" Charlie asks me.
"Oo great question I think I will have to go with Wizard of Oz i know it's an old movie but I love it!" I say.
"Oo cool I remember my mom always making me watch that movie with her!" Charlie says.
We walk around a bit longer till we all decide to part ways and go home.
"Bye Charlie, Adam , and Averman!" me and the other girls say.
"Byee!!" they say to us walking their separate ways.
I go to a pay phone and dial my mom's number tell her where we are and to pick us up.
As we're waiting for my mom to arrive Connie suddenly says "Ems, Adam was literally staring at you the entire time we were with them with goo-goo eyes!!" and Julie agrees claiming she had noticed Banks staring at me a lot too.
"Oh gosh there was probably some ketchup on me or something" I say making them giggle.
"There was definitely no ketchup we would have told if there was, I personally think he thinks your cuteee." Julie says.
"Yup the Adam Banks thinks Embreigh Watson is c-u-t-e, cute!!" Connie says as Julie giggles.
"You guys shush he does not !" I say blushing a bit.
"Believe what you want to believe girl but we think it's true" Julie says as my mom pulls up in front of us.
On the way to dropping both Julie and Connie off we were all talking about some of the most random things we can think of. It was quite fun till eventually we dropped off both girls.
"So Emmy how was it?!" my mom asks.
"It was so much fun mom thank you for letting me go out!" I say.
"Oh hunny you're welcome. You can go out anytime you'd like just make sure to let me or dad know" my mom says and I replied with an "ok".
When I got home I immediately took a shower and then continued to read The Outsiders again for the 3rd time. I love that book so much so do I love the movie but it cannot tops The Wizard of Oz. I also was still full so I didn't eat food. After reading for a good 30 minutes I went to sleep with my cat Berry thinking about what Julie and Connie said about Adam staring at me.
