Peter Parker had always known hiding something from the Avengers would be a challenge. After all, they were some of the most observant people on the planet. But hiding a relationship? With Bucky Barnes, of all people? That was a whole other level of impossible. Still, Peter and Bucky had managed to keep things under wraps for months. They enjoyed their stolen moments, sneaking around the compound, acting like nothing was happening between them in front of the others. It was exciting, thrilling even—until the day everything went wrong.

It was a snowy evening, and Peter found himself sneaking into Bucky's room once again. They had a system: Bucky would leave his door slightly ajar, signaling the coast was clear, and Peter would slip inside unnoticed. Tonight was no different, or so he thought.

As soon as Peter closed the door behind him, Bucky pulled him into his arms, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

“Missed you, spider,” Bucky murmured, his voice low as he pressed a kiss to Peter’s forehead.

Peter grinned. “Missed you too, Buck. It's been a long day of pretending we’re just teammates.”

They settled onto the bed, sharing soft kisses and quiet laughter, wrapped in their own little world. However, their bubble of happiness was about to burst. Unbeknownst to them, Clint had decided to investigate the strange noises coming from Bucky’s room.

The archer approached the door quietly, his curiosity piqued. He knocked lightly at first but received no response. Frowning, he pushed the door open just a crack, and his heart nearly stopped at the sight before him: Peter Parker, the baby-faced Avenger, was curled up with Bucky, looking completely at ease.

“Whoa!” Clint exclaimed, stepping fully into the room, his eyes wide. “Didn’t see this coming!”

Peter shot up, eyes wide in panic. “Clint! What are you doing here?”

Bucky groaned, realizing their secret was out. “You weren’t supposed to find out like this,” he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

Clint leaned against the doorframe, a teasing smirk forming on his lips. “Well, now the whole team is going to know. What’s the plan, lovebirds?”

Peter's face flushed crimson as he tried to come up with a response. “We were just—”

“Just what? Enjoying each other’s company in secret? Good for you, kid!” Clint interrupted, clearly amused. “But you know how this is going to go, right?”

As if on cue, the sound of footsteps echoed outside the door. Natasha, Wanda, and Sam were making their way down the hall, chatting and laughing. Clint’s eyes lit up with mischief. “Looks like it’s time to spill the beans, Bucky.”

“Clint, wait!” Peter pleaded, panic setting in.

But it was too late. Clint swung the door open wider, revealing Peter and Bucky, still tangled up on the bed. “Guess what, everyone? Our dear Spidey and the Winter Soldier have been getting cozy!” he announced, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Wanda stopped mid-laugh, her eyes widening in surprise. Natasha raised an eyebrow, a smirk spreading across her face. “Well, well, well. This is new.”

Sam stepped forward, a grin breaking out. “You guys kept this a secret? Impressive.”

Bucky glared at Clint, his face a mix of irritation and amusement. “Thanks for that, Clint.”

“Don’t mention it,” Clint replied, folding his arms with a satisfied grin.

Peter felt heat rise to his cheeks as all eyes turned to him and Bucky. “Uh, surprise?” he stammered, looking sheepishly at the group.

Tony’s voice rang out from behind the others as he entered the room. “What’s going on in here? Are we having a party without me?” He caught sight of the two men on the bed and raised an eyebrow. “So, this is why you two were always sneaking off!”

“Honestly, we didn’t mean for anyone to find out,” Bucky said, his tone defensive yet playful.

Steve stepped up, a smile on his face. “I don’t think anyone can blame you for wanting to keep things private. But now that we know, we’re happy for you both.”

Natasha nodded. “Just keep it PG in the common areas, okay?”

Peter let out a relieved laugh, the tension slowly melting away. “Thanks, guys. I guess we should have known better than to hide something like this from the Avengers.”

Clint clapped his hands together. “So, who’s up for a team celebration? We can finally toast to the new couple!”

With that, the atmosphere shifted from surprise to excitement, and soon everyone was rallying around Peter and Bucky, sharing their support and teasing them good-naturedly.

As the laughter and chatter filled the room, Peter glanced at Bucky, a wide smile spreading across his face. “Guess the secret’s out,” he said, leaning closer to Bucky.

Bucky wrapped an arm around Peter’s shoulders, pulling him close. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. At least we don’t have to sneak around anymore."
