-Chapter 11-

Kylie's POV:

"So I hear you go to UCLA too?" One of Malia's cousins ask in attempt to make small talk.

"Um yeah" but I wasn't really paying attention to her as my sight was set in watching Malia, Ivory and her mom discussing inside the house.

You see the party was in the backyard...and the moment Malia and I walked in it was like the whole vibe of the party shifted dramatically. Everyone's chatter went completely off, even the music stopped because apparently the internet started to buffer....great timing really.
But right now all I was thinking about was how Malia must be feeling.

Ivory didn't really seem so thrilled when she saw Malia and I walk in together. She'd been in a really nasty mood ever since, making it hard for Malia to interact with her on any social party games. After an hour into the party, Ivory accidentally drops a drink on Malia that causing Malia to snap, which turned into a big argument. That was until Julia stepped in, breaking up the big sense they were placing for everyone....let's just say their mom dragged them both inside the house to have a little chat afterwards....

Except that little chat has now been going for 25 minutes long....and to my luck, this whole time I have been stuck in the small cousin's table.
Yay me...

"Who kisses better, Ivory or Malia?" A little voice asked behind me.

"Wh-what?" I turned around so fast my neck slightly cracked.

"Oh my gosh, Nico.." a girl rushed over to the little boy, "..don't ask stuff like that."

She looked over at me with an apologetic expression as she moved the little boy aside. She looked about maybe 15 or 16 years old, "gosh I'm so sorry about him." She apologized, "He is very nosy sometimes. I'm Alisha, Alisha Baker."

I smiled back at her politely as I extended my hand out, "Kylie, Kylie Cantrall but I'm assuming you already knew that." I implied as I haven't been ignorant over all the looks and stares everyone has been given me the moment I stepped foot into this place.

"Uh well. Yes but not because of what you may think." She said as she gave me a quick lousy hand shake then sat down on the chair next to me. "..We've met before, at Malia's cheer competition a few years back, My mom is Malia and ivory's mom's sister...." She paused as if almost trying to give me a hint by that small gimps of information, yet I was still as lost as ever. I shook my head slightly asking her to continue, "well we went to support her along with my aunt and Ivory. You introduced yourself saying you were there in surprise for Malia if I remember correctly."

It took me a while to rejog my memory but I slowly started to remember a 13 year old girl with glasses that seemed lightly bigger than her face, who Malia had entroduced to me as her favorite cousin.

"Oh god, how could I forget." I responded as a soft smile tugged at my lips, "..I totally made a fool of myself when I intruded myself to y'all that day. Could have sworn I made the worst first impression on Julia."

"Oh yeah, you tripped over your shoe laces and dropped all the water bottles on yourself." She laughed at the memory. "We all made fun of you in the car still, on the way back from the competition."

"Well ain't that lovely" I laughed along with her, "Yeahhhh. Great way to make a first impression on the family of the girl you have a crush on, am I right?" I sounded sarcastic in amuse.
