The Encounter with Theo

---

Walang masyadong nangyari sa mga huling araw, so I've been amusing myself by messing with Rylan. Pero habang busy ako sa plano kong unti-unting pahirapan si Mr. Ice Prince, isang bagong karakter ang sumulpot sa eksena—Theo, the infamous telekinetic playboy ng Crystalveil Academy.

He's got this easy swagger, a confident smirk plastered on his face as if the world revolves around him. Hindi pa kami formally nagkakakilala, but I've heard enough about him. Girls practically fall at his feet. As in 'lahat sila.'

But me? I'm more interested in what goes on in that pretty little head of his.

---

It all started sa training grounds, as usual. I was minding my own business, practicing a little telekinesis myself, when a shadow loomed over me.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" came a silky voice behind me.

I didn't even need to turn around to know who it was. 'Theo.'

"You must be the infamous Lyra I've been hearing so much about," Theo continued, stepping in front of me with a grin that screamed 'playboy alert'. "You've already managed to catch Rylan's attention, and now you've caught mine. Impressive."

I raised an eyebrow, amused. "Is that supposed to flatter me, Theo? Kasi parang masyado kang sigurado sa sarili mo."

He chuckled, leaning against a nearby pillar, obviously comfortable in his own skin. "Why wouldn't I be? You have to admit, I'm pretty irresistible."

'Irresistible?' I stifled a laugh. This guy's confidence was off the charts. 'Time to see just how far I can push this.'

"Irresistible? Sure, if by 'irresistible' you mean... annoyingly cocky." I shot back, meeting his gaze with equal intensity.

Theo's grin widened, clearly entertained. "Oh, I like you already. A girl who can dish it back. But let's see how long you can keep up."

---

For the next several minutes, we exchanged banter like two expert fencers engaged in a duel. Every comment he made was smooth, dripping with flirtation, and I wasn't about to let him win.

"Sa tingin mo, ikaw na talaga 'to, 'no?" I teased, crossing my arms and tilting my head slightly. "Ang bilis mong mag-assume na kaya mo akong paikutin."

His eyes glinted with mischief. "Oh, I don't need to assume, darling. I've got a way with people. They can't help but be drawn to me."

I rolled my eyes, pero I was definitely enjoying the back-and-forth. There was something thrilling about the way Theo carried himself—so sure, so confident, as if he's always one step ahead of everyone else. What he didn't know was that I had a secret weapon: my mind-reading powers.
