All around Nora seemed to be the faint outlines of the mountains from the mist. She seemed to be plunged into mist and everything around her had became light blue. Nora was surprised to feel a soft, gentle breeze blowing through. She heard an earth-shaking roar and a huge feline shape could be seen on the edge of the cliff, silhouetted against the sun. In a sense, she thinks it's tiger. As the tiger shape gazed down at her, it disappeared into the fog.
Nora looked around in a panic, feeling startled by the calls of the wild. But as she started going towards the direction of the tiger. She soon found a great jungle spreading out before her eyes. Nora also saw some ancient ruins decorating the jungle. Feeling curious and confused about the sight of the jungle, she decided to explore it by herself.
Through the sparse canopy of leaves, the light of the moon shone through in soft rays of silver. The air was humid, that some of the clouds that hung in the sky. But in the woods, the rustling, frozen leaves crunched as Nora walked quietly through the almost soundless woods. A little cluster of light rain clouds had passed through the evening, dampening the ground and filling the air with the scent of fresh rain. The distant mountains were delicately sprinkled with the fading mist from the rain, like faint white frosting on cake slices. Puffs of fog appeared in the air at her every breath. Her eyes, which were almost hidden by the shadows of the jungle, searched through the trees, looking for something. All of the animals were either huddled in their nests and dens, sleeping through the day with hopes that tonight's moon will bring back the cool air to the desert. The only creatures that dared be out tonight were some rabbits that munched on the leaves, not worrying about predators that might snatch them away, and a few skittering field mice, searching desperately for spare shriveled berries on the forest floor.
"Nora." She jumped in place and looked around warily, searching for the one who had called out her name. "Nora."
She soon saw a trail of fireflies fluttering ahead, glowing brightly as the stars. Unsure of what to make of it, Nora followed the glowing fireflies through the jungle. She climbed rickety fallen trees, jumped some ledges, and walked along the narrow hills. The minutes passed quickly as she navigated the many obstacles. She worked her way cautiously eastward, in the direction of the jungle. Owls hooted from the trees, occasionally pausing as they saw Nora approached, and then starting again after a moment, as if they were nothing to worry about.
It was around night hours till she had started to arrive to a cliff that has a pool of water. The pool was large as a small cottage and was clear enough to reflect the night sky.
The moon floated out from behind the gauzy clouds and flooded the pond with brilliant light. The moonlight glimmered on the water, became solidified, and made a sparkly crystal path. Nora was suddenly bathed from a gentle, silvery glow from the full moon. Nora looked up to see a figure emerging as if from the moon, getting larger as it approached the ledge.
Nora watched as the unknown and yet familiar person walked down from the sparkling bridge. The person was covered in the silvery moonlight as she walked down from the bridge and gazed at her. She could tell that the person was a girl, who's one or two years older than her. The girl has some of the Stetriolan royal family's features. She took in her sharp jaw, her high cheekbones, bright blue eyes, and thick blond hair, and saw the resemblance. Her spirit animal wasn't visible, but Nora's eyes fell on the edge of a tattoo, which swirlingly went under the sleeve of the other lady. A wave of curiosity rushed through her. This other girl was one of the Marked too.
She was even wearing the same necklace as Nora is. But she was wearing an opposite outfit compared to Nora. She was wearing teal and golden bodysuit armor and carried a curved sword with a jade handle in a sheath made of black leather. She could see an emerald green cloak flowing behind her, showing that this other girl is... or was a Greencloak.
The awkward silence lasted between them had went on long enough, figured Nora warily and decided to speak to her. "W-Who are you?"
The other girl smiled at her. "Never mind what my name is."
Nora eyed her warily. "Then, why are you here?"
The mystery girl smiled at Nora warmly and gestured for her to step closer to the silvery pond. A little wary and confused with the situation, she stepped closer to the pool of glittering water, but she made sure not to step into the water. She watched as the mysterious girl held both of her hands without hurting her.
"What are you doing?" Nora asked the mysterious girl warily.
Without replying to any of her questions, she started chanting words of the old language. Nora watched on, unable to understand the language that the mysterious girl was chanting. But before she could ask her about it, she felt a sudden surge of power coming from where their hands were holding. The power surged through her, but she was unfamiliar with it and wasn't sure what to make of it. The transfer of power soon came to a stop and two girls let go of their hands. Nora stepped back, gazing at the mysterious girl curiously.
"Why are you doing this?" Nora asked the mysterious girl, a bit more softly as she felt the solemnity of the situation in the air.
The mysterious girl smiled at her sadly. "My powers is no longer mine to have." Her eyes showed great wisdom and strength. "Especially when I'm not alive and have to travel to the distance lands with my spirit animal." Uncertain of what to make of the reply, Nora remained silent. "But I need to give up my powers to my family's direct descendant that has taken the Nectar of Ninani and summoned a spirit animal."
"Where did you gained such powers from?" Nora asked the mysterious girl.
"I've gained these powers from Tellun the Great Elk," replied the mysterious girl. "He has told me that I could heal people who have gained the bonding sickness after they summoned their spirit animals, just like Jhi the Great Panda."
"But why did you pass it down to me?" Nora's voice shook with emotions. "You don't even know me."
"How could I not know you?" replied the mysterious girl. "You're my younger brother's descendants. Two of them are starting to follow his path, but you aren't."
Just as the world started lighting up with bright, morning colors and bright sunlight. The girl gave her one last smile. "And from this day forth, you shall be known as the Giver."
Nora bolted awake to see that she was back in her home. She smiled warmly when she saw Sandra sleeping next to her bed on her respective bed. She gently lowered her hand and stroked the striped white wildcat.
