Tara sat on the edge of the bed, her pregnancy nearing its final stages. She felt a mix of excitement and nervousness about her appointment with the doctor. "Today's the day," she thought, running a hand over her round belly.

In the next room, Aditya was deep into a meeting, his voice rising and falling as he presented ideas to his colleagues. Unbeknownst to him, Tara was grappling with a decision.

"Meera, I really appreciate your offer to come with me," she said, shaking her head softly. "But I think I should go alone today. It's just a routine check-up, and I want to feel a bit independent. Besides, you've got the house to take care of."

Meera frowned, concern etched on her face. "But Bhabhi, you're eight months pregnant! What if something happens? I'd feel better if I was with you."

Tara smiled, touched by her sister-in-law's worry. "I'll be fine, I promise. Just keep an eye on things here, okay? I'll call you if anything comes up."

After a brief pause, Meera relented. "Alright, but please be careful. Call me when you get there."

With a final wave, Tara stepped out, the warmth of the sun hitting her face. She took a deep breath, filled with anticipation. As she drove, she thought about the baby's movements, the nursery they had decorated, and the future that awaited them. But in an instant, everything changed.

Aditya was finishing up his presentation when his phone buzzed violently on the table. He glanced at it, frowning at the unfamiliar number. "I'll just check it later," he thought, focusing on the final slides. But the persistent buzzing continued, tugging at his attention.

Just as he concluded the meeting, his phone lit up again, this time with a text from Meera. "Bhai, there's been an accident. Bha.....Bhabhi... she's at the hospital. Please hurry!"

His heart dropped. The world around him faded away as panic flooded his senses. "I have to go," he told his colleagues, barely waiting for their responses as he grabbed his bag and rushed out.

"give me the car keys"

"but sir..."

"I said give me the fucking key"

The hospital loomed before him, sterile and unwelcoming. Aditya sprinted through the automatic doors, breathless and frantic. He found Meera sitting in a corner, her hands clasped tightly together, her face ashen.

"Meera! What happened?" he asked, his voice trembling.

"where is she?"

"what happened?"

"tell me where is she?"

"is she fine?" aaditya was  continuously speaking and was panicking.

"I— I don't know much. She was on her way to the doctor and..." Meera's voice broke. "I should have gone with her!"

Aditya clenched his fists, fighting against the rising tide of fear. "She's strong, Meera. She'll be okay. We need to stay positive." He took a seat next to her, his thoughts racing as they waited for any news.

Minutes felt like hours until a nurse finally approached them. "Are you here for Tara Singhania?"

Aditya stood up, his heart pounding. "Yes! How is she?"

"We can't say anything right now....other doctors are still looking after her....she was in very critical condition when she arrived here and the child...."before the doctor could say anything further the rest of family members came.
