The moment Klaus Mikaelson stepped into the threshold of Tyler Lockwoods study and seen her, he didn't even know her name, he knew something in him just clicked. This woman was his one, he almost staggered back at the thought leaning softly against the door frame instead, it wasn't possible. Klaus didn't believe in mates he couldn't because to actually believe that there was someone out there that could love and except him unconditionally was laughable. Nobody could love the monster that was the original hybrid, so Klaus didn't believe in mates, that couldn't deny everything he was feeling right now, she was real, the woman that pack elders whispered to him about. When he would take time to stay with wolf packs, when he wanted to be closer to his heritage and his father, when Rebekah and Elijah wanted nothing to do with him. Honestly he wasn't sure if this was even real, but he watched her as she skimmed over the photos in the Lockwoods study, he knew somehow that this woman was going to be a large part of his life if he wanted it our not. His wolf wanted her, Klaus had never felt like this, and he wasn't as familiar with his wolf as he should be having only broken the binding curse sometime ago.
Klaus wouldn't deny that she was beautiful not the type that he was known for going after since first she was burnette that wasn't very common in his past lovers, she's a wolf it never felt right with other wolves. Klaus had thought maybe because his had been bound, but now he knows it was because of her he was supposed to find her, he hated the notion of being tied to another in such away, especially since she was mortal. She was so fragile, well, not fragile that he could tell, she seemed fierce feisty, but she was just a wolf. Love is a vampires greatest weakness and Klaus wouldn't let it be his, he should have walked away then and there. He couldn't and Klaus would regret it later he was sure, but she was just so captivating, he couldn't look away, she was young maybe nineteen or twenty. That was still surreal to him that his mate would be born a millennia after him, like he was meant to be a monster, that kind of hurt to think about, she was tall a little shorter than him and tan. She looked lean and her curves looked soft and Klaus was about to groan out loud at his thoughts, he wouldn't let her in he wouldn't let her affect him. That's what he kept telling himself, but than the words were slipping out of his mouth before he could think better of it.
"You're a new face" he said, she turned to look at him.
Her eyes were hazel green, soft in quality and when her eyes met his it was like his whole center of gravity shifted almost, he was sure if he wasn't a thousand year old hybrid he would be on his knees. Something about this woman made him weak in a way he never thought he would be not again anyway, not since Aurora that was a terrible mistake, and he swore off redheads after her. He thought he had loved her, but Klaus wasn't sure if he every really knew what love was as he stared at the brunette with the beautiful hazel eyes in front of him.
"And I take it from your accent you're an old one Klaus" she said.
"My reputation precedes me. Hopefully not all bad" again the words were out of Klaus' mouth before he registered he was speaking and he knew that she was going to be dangerous to be around.
"A little bad. Mostly repulsive" she said with this look, and it isn't a good look.
In that moment, Klaus feels slightly crushed like, she had stomped all over his very fragile heart, he doesn't just show it to anyone, did she not know what they were, could she not feel it like he could. Maybe she couldn't so Klaus let his amused face fall away to something colder a little more suspicious his blue eyes narrowing slightly at her, she was Tyler's friend apparently. That also didn't sit well with Klaus that his mate was some friend Tyler made when he was gods know where running from him, or at least trying to anyway.
"So, you're a friend of Tyler's that's strange he's never mentioned you" Klaus pauses for a moment hearing Tyler talking to Caroline, "And I think I know why" he finished with a slight smirk.
