Chapter: The Urgency of Secrets

It had been a week since the girl had come forward, and the tension in the Kim family was palpable. The members were gathered in the main meeting room, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern as they prepared to discuss a crucial clip that had surfaced. Namjoon and Jin, however, were preoccupied with various tasks that week, leaving everyone else to speculate while they awaited the two.

Just as the other members were about to start without them, the door swung open, and Namjoon entered, his demeanor unusually frantic. “Sorry I’m late!” he called out, but the moment he sat down, his phone buzzed urgently in his pocket.

Looking at the screen, Namjoon saw Jin's name flashing. He quickly answered. “Jin?”

“Namjoon, there’s a secret room in the library, and it’s… quite weird,” Jin’s voice was filled with confusion and a hint of panic.

Namjoon’s heart sank. He knew exactly what was hidden behind that door. “Don’t go inside! I’m coming!” he shouted, springing up from his chair and racing out of the building.

The other members in the room were taken aback. Seeing Namjoon—who was usually the calm, composed leader—act in such a hurry was alarming. Suga quickly collected the GPS data, recalling the terrifying incident when he and Taeyong had been attacked on an isolated road. They feared that something similar might be happening to Jin.

As they tracked Namjoon’s car speeding through the streets, dodging other vehicles and blowing through traffic signals, concern gripped their hearts. The sight of Namjoon driving recklessly only added to their worry. When he finally arrived at the mansion, his coat flapped behind him as he dashed inside, his shirt slightly wrinkled, sleeves rolled up to his elbows with two buttons undone. In his anxiousness, he abandoned his car, a habit of his whenever he was nervous.

The mansion’s high security meant that Suga had to disable the alarms temporarily to allow the camera to follow Namjoon inside. The members watched the live feed with bated breath, confused and shocked at Namjoon’s erratic behavior. What was happening?

Namjoon bolted through the corridors, not bothering to answer the questions forming in his teammates’ minds. He made his way to the vast library, his heart racing as he searched for Jin. When he finally spotted him, Namjoon’s breath caught in his throat. Jin wasn’t just in the library—he had ventured into the secret room.

“Jin!” Namjoon called out, but his voice was drowned out by a rush of anxiety. Standing outside the secret room, he prepared himself, taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart.

Meanwhile, the members outside were equally shocked and concerned. “What is Namjoon hyung doing?” Jungkook murmured, his eyes wide with fear. Suga, Taeyong, and the others shared worried glances, knowing the implications of the secret room and fearing for Jin’s safety.

Taking a moment to gather himself, Namjoon finally stepped into the dimly lit secret room.
