Chapter 24 Accident

Just as grandfather Heart was about to talk, he got a call and rushed out. Luelle breathed a sigh of relief. Liam and Mary were not satisfied and Mary stormed to her room angrily while breaking everything in sight. The party was cancelled and luckily,no guests were invited. Cecilia went to meet Luelle and asked to speak to her. Luelle wondered why but followed her to the kitchen. Cecilia hugged Luelle immediately they got to the kitchen and this surprised Luelle. When they separated, Cecilia began,'Dear, I know that you convinced the old man to give the company to Liam and that made me really happy. Thank you so much Luelle, sorry let me correct myself, thank you daughter in-law. I know that you might have heard people saying that I only care about the company, even Liam thinks so but Luelle, everything that I am doing is to secure my son's future. He is already a doctor and he is independent but I want him to have his right as well. The old man had promised me when I gave birth to Liam that he would give him the company. I was very happy until I lost Liam, I was devastated and I cried for days. I thought my son was dead and I became a woman that I didn't like. I had lost the chance to care for my son and when I eventually found him,I was no longer capable of expressing love and affection to someone and he was no longer capable of trusting anybody. The incident which only Liam and I  knew about really changed him Liam and It was all my fault because I wasn't there for him. He has become really weary of women and he has also failed to see the love I have for him'. Cecilia broke down before she could complete her words. This was the first time Luelle saw the Almighty Cecilia crying. She gently hugged her and comforted her. 'Mother in law, please tell me the incident that made Liam this way. I want to know '. Cecilia nodded and decided to tell Luelle because she deserved to know. Liam was her husband after all. Cecilia was about to tell her when......'CRASH!!'. A loud noise came from the living room and they both rushed to see what happened. It was Liam and he had knocked down the glass table. 'What happened here?'. Cecilia asked and Xavier replied instead.'Grandfather met with an accident '. Cecilia and Luelle shouted at the same time 'what!!'.
