After packing two suitcases and a duffle bag, she was ready to go.
“I don’t want to leave my room” she took one last glance full of longing at my precious soft and fluffy bed that she will surely miss.
“Miss, are you ready? The person who introduced himself as the assistant of Harris Milton is waiting for you,” the maid knocked on the door.
“Ok, Invite him in and offer some tea I will be there in a minute” reluctant to move out, she checked her room once again to see if she has left anything important behind.
“All checked, oh the diary……..”
”Should I keep it here or take it with me…..”
This diary or her log book which looked quite plain from outside perfect for not standing out.
'it’s very important because I jotted down all the events of the novel I remembered after my accident'. She sat down on the bed to read it once again.
'I haven't touched it in years.' the sound of page turning filled her ears.
"The contents are just as I remembered. The only thing different from the original story is me getting married to the villain," she brought her index finger on her chin as she thought about the recent turns of events.
She put the diary back in the drawer and locked it with a key, in case anyone ever finds out which is unlikely considering nobody really enters her room except the maids.
She was about to go out with her suitcase when she heard the voice of her brother through the door.
‘He never comes home at this time, why today ugh’
She was ready to explain to Anakin that she did get married in a day. He didn’t even give them his direct approval. It would be better if he continues to stay oblivious to these matters.
“Is everything alright brother?” she tried to act nonchalant but the maid entered my room through the door and was seen taking my bags out.
“I came home to get some files, but are you going somewhere? And who is the man outside the house?” Anakin asked looking intently at Rina.
‘For love’s sake I had told the maid to invite Harris’s assistant for tea, in that case at least there was a chance that my brother would have ignored it, also the luggage. It has to be painfully obvious that I am leaving the house right?’ she chewed her lower lip in annoyance.
“Yes so… I am going on a vacation with my friends ahahaha” I can’t just tell him that I got married, that’s so absurd.
Anakin glanced at her, still suspicious but nodding.
“Take care of yourself and if anything goes wrong directly contact me”
“Oh and when you get back from vacation invite your boyfriend again” he added after a brief pause.
If the two of them are serious in getting married then he has no objections, Anakin smiled reassuringly.
It’s his younger sister, as long as she’s happy how can he say otherwise. He is her only family after the death of their parents. He wants to be a sturdy older brother for her.
“Ok then.. see you soon” I was just about to leave when the maid called me from behind.
“Miss Rina you left your hand bag” for some reason she was walking speedily and accidentally spilled off the contents of the bag.
“Shit….”she muttered under her breath. The marriage certificate was the first to touch the ground.
‘I hope Anakin didn’t see it, I am not ready to tell him this yet’ Rina slowly raised her eyes from the ground and as much as she wanted to deny it, Anakin’s eyes were glued to that piece of paper.
