The original timeline when Lily and Anakin reunite is still after a year.

‘I have plenty of time to weed out the flags which will steer the plot to its original direction. There is no way I would let my brother get caught up in the schemes of the original novel’ a sigh barely escaped her lips.

“Thinking of Anakin, he did call me ten times after that day, but just ten times?! isn’t it too lacking, hmph, he should’ve shown at least some sincerity.”

“Whatever, I will meet him at the year end party of Serenade holdings, there’s still two months, I will figure out how to deal with this situation by then” she was currently getting ready to raid Milton's office or in simple words a surprise invasion.

Holding the entry card that Harris gave her that time in her hand she smirked.

“I will make sure the villain falls in the pit he created on his own”

Asking the maid to pack lunch, which will be her excuse to meet him. She got a cab and headed to Milton’s office.

“Hello Ma'am, are you here to meet the CEO?” an unexpected question welcomed her.

She had just entered the building, when the receptionist greeted her from afar.

“Uh yes… I am here to deliver lunch” she pointed at the insulation bag.

“Ok, let me hold that for you and guide you inside” the receptionist offered.

“No, thank you so much for your consideration, but I will manage it on my own, I remember the way from last time” Rina smiled, masking up her annoyance.

“But…. I might get scolded if something happened, I have orders from above” the receptionist trembled at the thought of scolding.

‘huh I wasn't expecting Harris to attach surveillance at me as soon as I get here, he's quite meticulous I must admit’ Rina decided to comply for now.

“Sure then, but I would prefer to hold the bags on my own”

“As you wish ma’am, let me guide you” a professional smile played on the lips of the receptionist.

‘Last time, I didn’t have the time and mood to enjoy the atmosphere but it’s really big, the Milton’s office. Each floor has a different department. I really wanted to use the employee's elevator but the receptionist took me to the VIP only one,’ her eyes tracing all the little details by instinct.

Passing a long corridor with windows on one side with plants complimenting the grey walls and sunlight directly pouring on the leaves projecting a beautiful shadow on the floor as the sun is still high up. The secretary desks on the other side were put next to each other. She knocked on the door as the receptionist finally left her side.

“Rina……” Harris looked genuinely surprised.

“Did you eat lunch?” She gave the box to the secretary requesting her to help make the arrangements.

“Not yet… but you didn’t have to do this. I usually don’t eat lunch during meetings”

“Oh then I must be lucky to find you on time or are you leaving for a meeting? Go ahead I won’t bother you” she waved her hand.

He dialed the landline and told his assistant to cancel today’s meeting.

“Hey can you really do that, I told you I don’t mind just going back” she sat on the couch next to the coffee table.

“How can I leave when my pretty wife brought lunch for me for the first time,” he’s back to teasing.

Anger was slowly rising in Rina’s eyes but before she could say anything in retort, a cough sound came behind her. The secretary was standing with food arranged on the table.
