chapter 4

I woke up in a hospital.God my head hurts.I heard voices outside of my room before someone entered"What happened?You did this to her!"my vision was still blurry when i realised it was Mrs.Walter.She turned to me when i called her and she hugged me."Oh my goodness,you're alright.I was so worried when you didnt come home last night."

I felt guilty for making her worry about me like that."I'm fine,mom'' I looked at Bella and for the first time she looked worried."Beth,i'm so sorry.This is is all my fault but i came here because there is something i need to tell you."

Mrs.Walter disagreed and tried to chase Bella out but i stopped her when she said it was about Leah."It's okay,mom.I'll be fine."She looked at me one last time before leaving us.I waited for Bella to start talking but she just stood there with her head hung low.

"What did you wanted to tell me?"She looked at me with red eyes.I was worried about what she was going to tell me.When i looked at her my heart ache because she looked exactly like my mother.I could have mistaken her with my mother."Beth,we have kept this a secret for a long time.We wanted to tell you this but then father told us not too.At first you fitted perfectly in the family but as you grew,things changed."

I was confused at what she just told me.My brain couldn't adapt to the information to the information she just told me.Fitted perfectly?secret?What in the world is she talking about?"i don't understand what are you trying to say,Bella.Just get to the freaking point!"i stated firmly.She took a breath and looked at me "You're adopted Beth."she sigh.

I couldn't my ears,my brain tried to register what my sister or who ever Bella was just said to me. "Can't you see the differences?You're brunette and we're blondes.No one in our family is brunette.You have brown eyes and we have blue ones?Isn't that weird?We wanted to tell you when you'd asked but you never did."

I was still shocked with the news.I'm not one of them?I'm not a Johnson?Then what or who am i?When my brain started functioning i had lots of questions but the only thing that was important now was Leah."What about Leah?Was she adopted?Is that what you wanted to tell me about Leah?"

I wanted answer from her.No,i needed answers from her."Leah and i weren't adopted.Mum adopted you because she wanted another daughter but the doctor said she couldnt have another baby.so,she adopted you but a year after that she got pregnant and Leah was born.It was a miracle and no,the thing i wanted to tell you was Leah is sick.Eversince you left,she's been crying and missing you.She would blame us for it."

"She wouldn't eat nor play.All she does is lock herself in her room and now even when she's sick she still won't eat.She's too young and now she's really weak to do anything.I'm just worried she wont last any longer if this keeps on happening.Please come home beth for Leah.She needs you."

Bella begged me to come home but this is my home,here.I'm not part of that family anymore,I dont belong there and i dont want to see my mother.I thought for awhile eventho Leah is not my real sister now but i still love her.I cant let anything happen to her."Fine but only to see her."

"Thank god,Beth!I'll ask the doctor when will you be able to leave."Bella smiled while leaving the room.I didnt want to go but i also dont want to be the reason of my sister's death.Shenwas always there for me and it's my turn to pay the debt before i leave forever and live my life.

The doctor said i was able to leave tomorrow so i could rest one more day.I was awakened to ray of light that shine in my room.I missed seeing the sunshine.it's been so long since the last time there was light in my life.It's always been so dark now literally.Bella came early and she looked so happy and excited.i guess she does care about Leah as much as i do.

"so,i talked to Mrs.Walter and she allowed you to follow me eventho she tried to kill me for hurting you."she laughed.I didnt say a word.Bella paid the bills and settled the documents before we left for my things.She drove me back to my house to grab my things."I'll be back in twenty."

I ran straight to my room.I was looking for a bag that could fill my clothes in and i found the perfect bag for it.It was the bag i used when i ran away.I opened it and there was some stuff in it.I found a small purse at the bottom of the bag.I opened it to see if there was any money or anything precious but the only thing i found was a photo.A photo of me and my family.
