Chapter 9

"You are ridiculously annoying sometimes.Thank God,I like you." I wiped my hands on my pants and walked to my front door.I sat on the steps and a dazed Nathan sat beside me staring at me."What?Why are you looking at me like that?" The way he looks at me is making me nervous.Wait,why does Nathan makes me nervous?

 "You said thank god,i like you.You like me?!" Nathan was smiling from ear to ear. "No,I didnt say that *did i say i like him?Do i?*you're hallucinating." Did I? Really? Oh my god this is embarrassing."Yes,you did.YOU like me....well,be very happy Ms.Johnson because i like you too."

He elbowed me playfully with a huge grin on his face.Hm,he likes me but do i really like him?MAYBE.We just sat on the steps when the door opened and my mum was at the door."what are you kids doing out here?It's getting late come on in."My mum looked a little sick today.I asked her if you was okay because she looked quite pale but she said she was fine and insisted for Nathan to have dinner with us.

My mum made fettuccine chicken alfredo which was delicious."So,i'll be leaving now.I'm gonna pack my stuff." i sipped my drink while looking at my mum."Absolutely,perhaps Nathan would like to go with you to keep you company?It's pretty late to drive alone.Would you like to accompany my baby here to her family's house?"she held Nathan's hand and gave me a really sinister look.

"sure,why not? Oh but i dont have anything to wear." Dont wear anything then *wink* GOSH i have a dirty mind."Dont worry, sweetie.You can wear my late husband's clothes.Im sure you will fit him perfectly.I'm gonna go and get it for you now."My mum left us straight away to take the clothes for Nathan.Why does she always have to embarrass me?

"Okay im gonna go and pack.You can wait here or join me?Whatever your decision is,i'll be in my room." I ran to my room straight away.I shut the door and lay on my bed for a few seconds before opening my closet.I chose some casual clothing and a few pretty dresses for the wedding&engagement party.

I closed the closet door and Nathan was standing there."Holy shit,Nathan! why did you do that?You're literally gonna give me a heart attack." I held my chest like my heart was going to burst out of my chest."i'm sorry! I didnt mean too.I just came to say that i've got my stuff.I'll wait in the car."I just nodded.

I took my stuff and went to my mum's room.I knocked on her door and she told me to come in."Mum,I'm leaving now.I love you mummy..so much." I hugged her so tight.I hate leaving the house,leaving her.After all she's done,I can never thank her enough.

"Elizabeth,here take this.It was from your father he gave it to me when we got married.Wear it during the engagement party and trust me people are going to drool."she laughed at her own joke while handing me a small box.

It was a pair of earrings and a ruby necklace.It was truly beautiful.she kissed my forehead and i got in the car."hey,sorry it took so long Batman.We can go now." he looked at me with a smile on his face and shooke his head before driving.

From my home sweet home to my house(used to be) takes about 2 hours.Nathan didnt really talk much throughout the whole way there.He was so focused on the road the he didnt realize i was staring at him.He suddenly turned towards me and caught me staring.

"you've been looking at me for about 5 minutes now." he chuckled."have you figured anything about me yet by looking at me?" he turned back to the road.Thank god it was dark.I was blushing like crazy.I switched on the radio to NOT make the situation even more awkward than it already is.I took my phone and texted Isabella.

"hey,you awake?-B"

"hey!Yeah,you coming to the party right?-I"

"Yup,I'm own my own way but I'm with a friend.So,can you get us a place to stay?I dont want to leave him alone-B"

"HIM????hmm,OFC! I will book you guys a hotel.The rooms will be SEPARATED! ;p-I"

"*sighs* wtv,thanks-B"

I kept my phone."So,Isabella booked us rooms.She will text me the address." Nathan just nodded.I was suddenly super tired.My eyes got heavier and heavier by the minute.I feel asleep.

I felt like something or someone was poking me.I opened my eyes and Nathan was looking at me."Did you poke me?" I was still kinda in a sleep mode."yeah?sorry..i didnt want to wake you up but i kinda need the address?" he smiled nervously.He was cute with that attitude.

"oh,right..let me see my phone."I went through my purse and took my phone out."Hey?just text me the address then go back to sleep.Before you say anything,i'll be fine." I was wayyy too sleepy to argue so i did as told.

NATHAN'S POV

I wasnt sleepy at all.i'm guessing being with Beth keeps me active.She's like starbucks.I drove while she was sleeping and i kept on looking at her.She is like an addiction to me.Gosh the way she sleeps is just wow.i'm dumbfounded by her beauty,personality by HER.

Suddenly,i remembered about my family.I took my phone out and called home.I live in a normal apartment,nothing fancy because most of the time i live with my mom.My older brother used to live with her before he died trying to save a little girl from a burning building before the fireman came.

They found the girl alive in a closet and she was alive but unconscious.Unfortunately,my brother didnt make it.His wife,Angeline went to live with her family and took her son Danish..yup that young waiter is my nephew.

They visit sometimes usually school holidays so that my mother isnt lonely.'hello..?' i could tell my mother was worried because she picked up the phone instantly.'mum,it's me Nathan.i'm sorry i didnt call earlier.i totally forgotten.Well,I wont be coming home for a day or two i guess.i'm taking my friend to her sister's wedding in Windsor.'

'Nathan Henderson! What were you thinking?! I was worried sick.You're going to Windsor to send a girl to a wedding?Wait...a girl?My baby found a girl! About time,my dear.Alright then have fun.'She sounded relieve and excited 

'mum,she's just a friend...alright then.'

'Nathan?'

'Yes,mum?'

'I love you so much,remember that.Take care'

'I know mum..i love you more..you too.Night'i hanged up.

We were already arriving Windsor but I didnt have the address to the hotel.I looked at the person beside me.A beautiful woman there asleep.I didnt want to wake her up but i have too.She was still kinda sleepy when i woke her up and i told her to go back to sleep.

She didnt argue with me.We arrived at this cozy motel actually.I left her in the car to get us checked in.The doorman told me that the booking was only for one room.I took it because i didnt have any bad intension.I went back to the car and she curled herself into a ball.I thought of waking her up but instead i carried her into the room.I tucked her on the bed carefully.

"Goodnight,My elizabeth."
