Chapter 23 {The Dragon King Festival}

Rogue has recovered moments after Natsu's strike. Seeing that Natsu told everyone to get away as he is ready to fight Future Rogue 1 on 1.

Everyone in the hall except for the 2 dragon slayers then escape leaving the 2 in a short stare off... Natsu then attacks Rogue with Fire Dragon's Iron Fist saying he'll not let Rogue get near Lucy again.

Rogue however blocks it perfectly as he then hides in the shadows and appears below natsu to uppercut him while saying that if Lucy won't die the gate will be closed and the future will be doomed.

Natsu doesn't believe anything he says though, he simply says that if she said she won't close the gate then she won't close the gate as he then uses Fire Dragon's Roar that Rogue dodges.

The Shadow Dragon then gives up on getting through to natsu and simply says that he will change his Destiny as well by killing natsu right there and then and unleashing tornado of shadows that directly hits natsu sending him upwards

Natsu then stops holding back, entering Lightning Flame Dragon Mode and Launching Lightning Flame Dragon's Firing Hammer in Rogue finally hitting him and dealing some damage.

Rogue recognises this power... The power he used against their late Master, and the one he used to defeat him and Sting in Grand Magic Games...

And as natsu uses Lightning Flame dragon's roar rogue then Powers up into his White Shadow Dragon Mode he earned after killing Sting in the future and gets rid of Natsu's Roar...

Natsu while shook at first disregards Rogue's power up and Charges in with Lightning Flame Dragon's Sword horn... however he didn't even made it to rogue and instead he was hit with White Shadow dragon's Rough Silk... causing natsu to collapse afterwards...

Rogue then decides to leave natsu get swallowed by his own shadow as he leaves him there, going after Lucy and others again...

But before natsu could be compleadly swallowed... He got pulled by ultear and melody... ultear covered his Fatal wound with a piece of her cloak as natsu then regain conciousness and was ready to go after rogue again... The girls stopped him from doing anything rash but he did not listen... saying he's got to protect the future...

30 minutes earlier...

Lucy, Wendy and the exceeds made it to the Eclipse Gate as it was being opened... They've had a momentary relief as that meant the threat of 10 000 dragons will be avoided...

Untill it hit Lucy. The Dragons everyone have been so worried about... were meant to come out from the Gate... Celestial mage then stepped forward and said she has to close the gate... Shocking Princess Hisui who was the one who opened the gate as well as everyone with her...

They've called her crazy and were Ready to stop her... until Dragons began to walk out from the gate...

1...2...3...4... and more coming... Lucy attempted to close the gate with the mashine that opened it in the first place but the lever broke...

5... 6... 7... 8...

There was now 8 dragons roaming around in crocus... luckily yukino and Mira have showed up... yukino then offered Lucy to join forces and use one of the strongest spells a celestial wizard can perform... Zodiac....

With them casting the spell together they have managed to summon all 12 Golden Keys celestial spirits and close the Gate... however there was the issue of 8 dragons roaming arround... and future rogue who has revealed that he can command them...

And so... The Dragon King Festival begun...
