Babe stretched out on the grass, the soft breeze rustling through his hair. He had never expected to find so much peace in a golf resort of all places, but Billy had a way of making even the dullest places feel like paradise. He sighed contentedly, closing his eyes as he let the warmth of the sun wash over him.
"You're going to fall asleep if you stay like that," Billy teased, his voice full of amusement as he leaned over Babe, casting a shadow over him.
Babe cracked one eye open and smirked. "Maybe that's the plan."
Billy laughed, dropping down next to him on the grass. "You're impossible, Tofu."
Babe snorted, rolling onto his side to face Billy. "And yet you still love me."
"Of course I do," Billy replied, leaning in to kiss him softly. "I'll love you anywhere—even in the middle of a boring golf course."
Babe laughed, swatting Billy playfully. "Hey, you're the one who dragged me here in the first place, Mumu."
Billy just grinned, unfazed by Babe's teasing. "And you loved every minute of it."
They sat there in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company. Babe hadn't realized how much he needed moments like this—quiet, simple, and free from the weight of the world. It was a stark contrast to the intensity of their past, but it was exactly what they both needed.
"You know," Babe said after a while, his voice soft, "I don't think I've ever felt this happy."
Billy turned to him, his expression softening. "You deserve to be happy, Tofu. After everything we've been through, we both do."
Babe smiled, leaning in to kiss him again. "Yeah, we really do."
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, they found themselves back at their suite, the soft glow of the sunset spilling through the windows. Babe stretched out on the bed, watching as Billy moved around the room with ease, his movements unhurried and relaxed.
"Hey, Mumu," Babe called out, his voice light. "Do you ever think about the future?"
Billy glanced at him, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Of course I do. Why?"
Babe shrugged, propping himself up on his elbows. "I don't know. I was just thinking about how far we've come. It's kind of crazy, isn't it? Everything we've been through, and now we're here—just... happy."
Billy nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yeah, it is crazy. But I wouldn't trade it for anything."
Babe smiled, his heart swelling with affection. "Me neither."
Billy moved to sit on the edge of the bed, his eyes soft as he looked at Babe. "You know, I used to be afraid of the future. Afraid of what might happen, of losing you again."
Babe reached out, placing a hand on Billy's. "You don't have to be afraid anymore, Mumu. We've got forever."
Billy smiled, his fingers curling around Babe's. "Yeah, we do."
They sat in quiet contentment, the weight of their past no longer lingering between them. There was no need for words—everything they had fought for, everything they had survived, had led them to this moment. And now, as they looked toward the future, it was with open hearts and the unshakable knowledge that they were exactly where they were meant to be.
Babe leaned into Billy's side, closing his eyes as he let himself drift into the comfort of their love. "I think I'll keep you around, Mumu."
Billy chuckled, pressing a kiss to Babe's temple. "Good. I'm not going anywhere, Tofu."
