"hey, Mum. what's this place called again?" I ask my mother as I walk out the car, looking at our new neighborhood. "WoodsBury, darling." my mum calls back. "Hm, cool, I guess." I say walking back towards the car to grab my bags. "Hey, faith. maybe we could get some guys to show us around, huh?" I tell my best friend, smirking. she grins and laughs, "whatever you say, 'Lena." I laugh and say, "lets just check out the neighborhood when we finish unpacking." she nods and we start grabbing our bags.

"you, know. one of the downsides of being part were, is that you can smell everything, and that sucks, sometimes." I explain to faith. she laughs and says, "and the pros?" I shake my head, laughing and continue walking.

"wow." I breath out, "its bigger than it looks." faith laughs as she pushes open the door all the way. I set my bags down at the front door and stare at the house in awe.

"Muma, you didn't say it was this big." I call out to my mother. "three story house." faith says from beside me. "neat." I tell her, "lets just unpack."

we've already finished unpacking most of our things and we're getting ready to go out. "Hey, 'Lena?" faith says a bit nervously. "yes, faith?" I ask as I'm applying my mascara. "do you think there are others. like us?" I smile and tell her, "yes, there probably is. and plus, I think I sensed some vamps 'round."

I turn around and see faith loosen up, giggling I tell her, "there are probably some guys, too." She shakes her head and laughs, "okay, 'Len, I've figured out you want me to meet some guys." I wiggle my eyebrows and tell her, "what? no." then start laughing. "gosh, lets just get dressed." she tells me.

rolling my eyes I get up and go look through the closet. we've put at least half of our clothes up. "it's cold outside, so..."

"oh gosh, this town is so beautiful." I tell faith, beside me. "yes." she mutters beneath her breath. we're just walking around town, looking, well faith's looking, I'm smelling.

"faith." I whisper, "freeze." she stops moving beside me and whispers, "underneath." I nod. see, underneath was our secret word for when there was some sort of 'monster' around.
then faith whispers for only me to hear, "kind." I look at her and say, "it's a pack, different, though." she nods. I tell her, "Lets walk." I grab her arm and we start speed walking down back to the house when we bump into something large and sturdy. I look up and gasp.

"um..."

A/N ; yes its terrible and short. and on a cliffhanger. I know this is pretty short, but the chapters will get 1-3 chapters longer everytime. thanks for reading ♡.
