He didn’t argue. He didn’t fight for her. He just stood there, his shoulders slumped, as if even he knew there was nothing left to salvage. “Yeah,” he finally said. “satingin ko Tama ka let's just end this.”

Cassie took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. It was over. There was no point in dragging it out any longer. “I’ll pack some of my things tonight,” she said, her voice hollow, numb.

Kio nodded but said nothing more. He simply stood there as Cassie turned away, heading back to the living room where the remnants of their life together still lingered—the photos on the wall, the shared memories, the laughter they had once known. But now, all of that felt like it belonged to a different time, a different version of them that no longer existed.

As Cassie began to gather her belongings, the weight of it all pressed down on her chest. This was the end of their chapter—the final page in a story she had thought would last forever. But sometimes, love wasn’t enough. Sometimes, people drifted apart, and no matter how much you tried to hold on, you had to let go.
