----------------------------

It was Sanemi Shinazugawa's first day at the school as the new math teacher. As he entered the staff room, he was greeted warmly by his new colleagues, who introduced themselves one by one. But his attention was soon drawn to the PE teacher, Giyuu Tomioka. There was something about her—a distant, unreadable expression on her face. She didn't seem particularly pleased to see him, her eyes calm but cold.

"Hello, I'm Sanemi Shinazugawa. Nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you," Sanemi introduced himself, extending a hand.

Giyuu looked at his hand briefly before offering a polite nod, her face still void of emotion. "Hello. Giyuu Tomioka. Same here."

Her voice was soft, almost too calm. After the formal introductions and explanations of the day's work, they both headed off to their respective classes.

At the end of an exhausting day, Sanemi had just finished his last math class. His patience had been tested by rowdy students, and he decided to take a break. He wandered down to the school grounds, feeling the cool breeze against his face. Finding a quiet spot, he sat down on a bench, cracked open a cold drink, and began to enjoy a moment of peace.

That peace was short-lived.

Out of nowhere, a ball slammed into the side of his head, sending his drink flying and knocking him off the bench. His blood boiled instantly. As he regained his footing, fury building in his chest, he turned to see none other than Giyuu Tomioka standing a few feet away with a group of her students.

"What the hell, Tomioka?!" Sanemi shouted, his voice full of rage. "Can't you see there are people sitting around? Is this how you teach your students?!"

Giyuuu, unfazed by his outburst, bowed slightly, her face still calm but her eyes a touch more apologetic. "I'm sorry, Shinazugawa. It was an accident."

Sanemi wasn't satisfied with that response. He stood up, still fuming, wiping the spilled drink off his shirt. "Seriously, just sorry! If that ball had hit me a little harder, I could've been dead by now!"

His words were harsh, his voice dripping with intensity. The students nearby stared at him wide-eyed, clearly intimidated.

Giyuu, on the other hand, remained still, her expression unchanged though her thoughts raced. She took a moment, her heart beating a little faster, though she wouldn't let it show. "He's scary." she thought to herself. "But I can't back down."

"I assure you, Shinazugawa, it won't happen again," Giyuu replied, her voice soft but steady, refusing to rise to his level of aggression.

Sanemi clenched his jaw, glaring at her before storming off, muttering angrily under his breath. Giyuu watched him go, feeling the tension still in the air. "What a temper..." Giyuu thought

Days had turned into weeks and weeks in months. Sanemi got along with most of his coworkers, but things with Giyuu were still rough. Whenever they met, they always ended up arguing about something small. It wasn't just Giyuu's personality that bothered Sanemi—it was how calm and nice she always seemed. That really made him angry. He thought she was pretending to be kind.

One day during lunch break, the teachers gathered in the staff room. Sanemi and Giyuu sat at tables next to each other. Sanemi looked over at her, feeling annoyed again.

"Well, aren't you eating somewhere else today, Tomioka?" Sanemi said with a scowl. "You don't usually eat with us. Or maybe you think we're not good enough for you."
