The next morning, Dina sat in her favorite corner café, stirring her cappuccino absentmindedly. The soft murmur of conversations and the hum of the espresso machine filled the cozy space, but her mind was elsewhere, replaying the previous evening over and over again. She couldn't shake the feeling of Jamal's embrace, the warmth of his touch, the way his words had made her feel like she was the only person who truly mattered in that moment.

She was supposed to meet Laura soon. After everything that had happened, she needed to talk it out with her best friend, someone who had always been her anchor. Laura knew her better than anyone, and if anyone could help her make sense of this whirlwind of emotions, it was her.

The bell above the café door jingled, and Dina looked up to see Laura entering, her face bright as always, her hair pulled back into a messy bun, and her oversized sweater falling casually off one shoulder. She spotted Dina almost immediately and waved, making her way over.

"Hey, babe!" Laura greeted, sliding into the seat across from Dina. "You've been suspiciously quiet since last night. I need details, ASAP."

Dina laughed, shaking her head. Leave it to Laura to jump straight to the point. "I was going to ease into it," she teased, "but since you're asking..."

"Since I'm demanding," Laura corrected with a grin, leaning forward with her elbows on the table. "You can't just leave me hanging after the night you had. Spill."

Dina took a deep breath, trying to gather her thoughts. "Okay, so... we met up at this park he likes. It was so peaceful, Laura. No crowds, no attention. Just me and him, walking, talking. It felt... normal. Like he wasn't Jamal Musiala the football star but just... Jamal. And he was so open with me. We talked about everything—his career, his struggles, how he's trying to balance it all."

Laura's eyebrows shot up, clearly impressed. "Wow. So, this wasn't just a casual hangout then."

Dina shook her head, her heart speeding up just thinking about it. "No. I don't think so. I mean, he said he wanted to see where this thing between us could go. He wasn't sure what it was, but he wanted to explore it. He didn't want to rush things, but he didn't want to pretend like there wasn't something there either."

Laura let out a low whistle. "That's deep. Like, not your typical celebrity flirtation deep. He sounds serious."

"I think he is," Dina admitted, feeling the weight of it. "It's just... I don't know, Laura. It's all happening so fast. One minute I'm watching him play football on TV, and the next... I'm sitting with him in this quiet park, holding his hand, and talking about life like we've known each other forever."

Laura studied her closely, her eyes soft with concern. "And how are you feeling about all of this? I mean, I know you've had crushes before, but this is different. He's got this whole other life, a public life. Are you ready for that?"

Dina hesitated, knowing Laura's question was the one she had been avoiding herself. She had been swept up in the excitement of it all, the thrill of being close to someone like Jamal, but Laura was right. There were complexities here that went beyond simple feelings. Jamal's life was anything but normal, and if she became a part of that, it would affect her life in ways she hadn't even considered.

"I... I don't know," Dina confessed, her voice softer now. "I mean, when I'm with him, it feels so real, like we're just two people getting to know each other. But I also know that his world is different. It's public, and I'm not used to that. What if I'm not cut out for it? What if it's too much?"

Laura reached across the table and took Dina's hand, her expression serious but kind. "Dina, no one can really know what it's going to be like until you're in it. But the important thing is that you're honest with yourself about what you want. If this thing with Jamal is real—and it sounds like it could be—then it's worth exploring. But you have to take it one step at a time. Don't let the 'what ifs' get in your head before anything even happens."
