"Why didn't you wake me? It's electives day. The earlier we sign up, the better the chance we have of getting all the good ones." Riley asked Maya, Topanga and Aiden.

"I tried to wake you up three times." Topanga told her daughter.

"It's true, she did," Aiden confirmed, the boy not having tried to wake Riley.

"You know I don't think you're serious until six times. You know the first three times I'm still checking for chicken pox to see if I can miss school." Aiden chuckles, eating his breakfast.

"Hey, I tickled your toes" Maya tells her. Aiden doesn't give her a weird look, or any look. Things have been weird since that night and Aiden figures if Maya isn't going to try be his friend, he shouldn't either.

"Well, that explains the Lucas dream." Aiden looks at Riley and fake gags, resulting in a glare from the girl.

"So, what electives are we hoping for?" Topanga, much to Aiden's relief, changes the subject.

"We are hoping to get out of them." Maya says. Aiden has to agree, electives are no fun. He managed to get out of them, mainly because at the time of electives, he had broken his arm.

"Actually, it's not gonna happen, sister. These are service electives. Not only do they expect us to be students, but now they want to give us jobs." Riley tells the blonde.

"How are we supposed to work and go to school at the same time?" Maya complains.

"Yeah, who does that?" Riley adds. Aiden groans as he known that parent theatre is definitely coming.

"How you doin'?" Cory greets.

"Oh, hey, honey. Where you going?" Topanga questions.

"I'm going to school."

"Oh, whatcha gonna do there?"

"I'm gonna work."

"Wait, you're gonna go to work and school?" Topanga feigns disbelief.

"At the same time."

"Wait, but just for a couple of days, right?"

"No, no, no. This is forever. But Topanga, surely your responsibilities are temporary, right?"

"Oh, no. I have to do everything all the time."

"Bravo," claps Riley.

"No more, no more!" Maya begs.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." Cory and Topanga say.

"We will be here for the rest of your lives." Cory adds on.

"Dad! Could you give me a lift?" Aiden asks his father.

"You don't go to the middle school," Cory says, confused.

"It's my day off," the boy shrugs.

"Okay? Come on then," Cory gestures to the door. Aiden follows after.

The car ride was quiet, Aiden looked lost in thought, which is odd for a boy who doesn't think that much.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Cory interrupts his sons thoughts. "You alright?" Aiden looks over at him and smiles, the smile never quite reaching his eyes.

"Yeah. Yeah, no, I'm fine," he lies. Cory gives him a look, "Really, I'm okay. Just...." he hesitates, "Do you know if I did something wrong?" Cory glances at him.

"You do a lot of things wrong, no ones perfect. But what specifically do you mean?" Cory asks.

"With Maya. Did I say something? Because one second we were fine, the next she won't look at me and, like, yeah I am now ignoring her but it's only because she started ignoring me first, you know?" Aiden rambles slightly.
