Naina's Pov

"Koi mujhe khana dedo, I am dying.... Ahhhh....!!!"
Hridu fell on the couch and screamed, acting dramatically

"Mujhe bhi bohot bhook lag rahi hain" Inu mumbled and caressed her stomach

"Then go eat, princess" Papa said

The word rolled out of my tongue like elixir. I have been craving to say this word for 15 years and now, I can't get enough of that.

"Darling?"

"Ji maasi" I asked and turned

"Come help me make the laddoos" She sat on the floor near the pooja space

"I will also help" Hridu stood up and rushed there

Walking there, I saw her rolling the mothi chor ke laddoo. I sat next to her and started following her steps.

"Eey! Don't taste it. It's for prasad" She scolded hridu, when he was going to lick his finger

"Fine" He rolled his eyes and continued making the laddoos

After completing the laddoos, I was called by inu. We entered the room together and she showed me the lehenga. Taking a box of jewellery, she sat with me on the bed. Then asked me to pick the accurate colour, matching the dress.

"Batayiye bhabhi" She urged

"Mujhe ye colour combinations zyada pata nahi hain" I whispered looking at the different jhumkas

"May I help?"

A pleasant voice of adit ji was heard, as he stood near the door with a smile.

"Aree bhai, aap andar aao pehle, aur ye bolo ki aapne mere phone kyu nahi udhaya?" She narrowed her eyes at the end

"I was helping mami to make the dough for dinner" He smiled and sat beside me

"You were in the kitchen?" She frowned

"Yeah, why?"

"Meine toh dekha hi nahi" She tilted her head

"For that, you need to use your oldy eyes" He teased and placed his head on my shoulder

"Oldy kisko bola?" She gasped

"Tumhe"

He chuckled and I curled my toes as that sound made something in my body go hayfire.

"Aap door hatiye pehle... Shooo!" She pushed him off my shoulder

"Ugh..!!"

He fell down on the bed and glanced at the jewels.

"Ab batao, kya pehnu?" She pouted

"You are wearing magenta right?" He sat up and laid down on his stomach

"Yeah" She beamed

"So....."

He trailed off and kept his head on my lap, making me flinch lightly. He snuggled onto my crossed legs and pointed at a pair of green earrings.

"For magenta, green will look perfect and, that's apple green, that will be great" He said and took my hand in his

"But I haven't wore this before" She took the heavy earrings in her hand

"Then try it"

He placed my hand on his head and stared at inu. She tried the earrings and shook her head, making it jiggle.
