Peter looked up from Michael’s notes. “You mean to say when she contacted Al Himar, she was observed by these people in the building on that date?”
Michael found himself nodding. “Yes, sir. We believe she came into close contact with all of these people and they might have seen who the Al Himar contact is. Alternatively, any or all of these people might be in danger, if they were identified as witnesses to something Laura didn’t want them to see.”
Peter looked annoyed. “Fuck, so which one is it?”
Michael was patient. “We don’t know, sir. If we had the security footage from the building she was in, we might be able to identify these people ourselves and attempt to contact them. If the tech guys have managed to get access to her computer, where I believe her surveillance notes are stored, that might tell us more…” He tailed off delicately.
Peter snorted. “The tech guys are working overtime on those fucking files. Find out what building it is and get the fucking security feeds!”
“We already have, sir,” Michael replied smugly, pretending not to notice Peter’s shock. “We know Laura visited a particular building on those dates, because of the surveillance footage from the street outside. We reviewed all of that for the Lockyer case months ago. We’ve already requested the building security footage for those dates.”
Peter’s eyes were wide. “What are you waiting for?”
“The courier to arrive with the data,” Michael admitted. “I’ll be onto it as soon as it’s here.”
Peter nodded in approval. “Fuck, that’s good news. Find Al Himar. That’s one terrorist who’s going down!”
“Yes, sir.” Michael left.
