"I can't believe you start work with your dad tomorrow!" Mitsuki smiled big and I laughed.

"I can't believe it either. It's more surprising than me actually becoming a doctor." I let out a puff of air and she lightly smacked my arm.

"You hush, I knew you'd do it."

"That's because you're biased." I said cheekily, raising a brow challenging her to disagree. All I got was a wave of her hand and I chuckled.

"It seems your father enjoys this sport more than the others" She sighed. "Hopefully he stays here a bit longer."

I nodded in agreement because it's true my father gets bored easily, he had an obsession with sports and constantly bought and sold sports teams. Stating it 'wasn't the right one', whatever that means.

So far since I was a child he has owned a total of 10 different teams, it was first baseball then basketball, volleyball, football, tennis and even polo. The last two were busts but all the others he didn't stay longer than 2 years.

I was glad when I left for college, the constant moving was getting to me. Not like I was the most popular person or had the most friends but still, it was exhausting.

"What's the sport this time again?" I asked Mitsuki.

She tsked and shook her head. "How could you not know?" I shrugged. "It's soccer. He bought Japan's Elite Soccer Team."

"Sounds fancy." I wiggled my brows. "How's the people on the team?" I asked, knowing he hosts get togethers here at the house.

"Very interesting group of men, you'd like some of them." She smirked.

"Nuh-uh. You know my rule, no dating people on my dads team."

"You know, you're just asking to fall in love." She laughed, I tilted my head silently questioning her.

"Making a rule like that? It's like asking the universe to put your soul mate right in front of you."

"You're a hopeless romantic." I smiled.

"Mmm. Maybe. What's the policy for that kind of thing?"

"It's allowed but needs to be brought to managements attention." I said before taking a sip of the tea she made.

She nodded. "I still stand by what I said."

I laughed. "That i'll find my soulmate in my dads team?"

"Yes and when you do, I get to say 'I told you so" she smirked.

I shook my head at her relentlessness and looked at the clock. "Alright, I should head out."

"Why not stay? I don't understand why you got an apartment down town." Disapproval evident in her tone. I stood and hugged her tightly.

"Because I need my space, you know i'll always be here." I kissed her check. "Thank you for the tea, I love you."

She patted my cheek with a smile. "You better and you better drive safe. I love you too, princess."

I left with a wave and got into my car making my way towards my apartment. I mentally went through my tasks for tomorrow, set up my office, set up the patient room and go over the teams file. I wanted to groan, thinking about how long all that will take. When I arrived at my apartment, I let out a sigh of relief. I loved my apartment, it was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom large condo with floor to ceiling windows and a gorgeous balcony. The best part? It was a 5 minute walk to the indoor facility where the team practices.

My own little slice of heaven, it was still relatively bare while I waited for the things I ordered online to come in but still, it was home. I was making me dinner when my phone pinged.
