Y/N
"I told you so." Mitsuki grinned at me from across the high top table my dad scattered across his back yard.
"You said that already." I grumbled. Her eyes softened and she shook her head.
"He's perfect for you."
I smiled and looked towards Bachira who's talking animatedly with a huge smile on his face to my fathers friends and other sports team owners. The rest of the guys looking relieved he took the attention off of them.
"He is.." I said softly. "I'm really happy, Mitsuki. Really, really happy."
"I know, babe. You look like you're home."
Her response confused me and I turned to her. "I am home?"
"Not like that." She chuckled. "Your dad traveled a lot, you both moved a lot and you were always kind of floating around." She looked at Bachira then to me. "Now you look settled, you look like you found your home."
I nodded. "I can't help but think maybe.. it's too fast."
"Ehh. It's not that fast." She chuckled. "You have known him for over two weeks and since that second day you both have talked all the time. You've gotten to know him, so I don't think so."
I sighed and she wrapped me in a hug. "Don't overthink it. You're happy, he's happy. Just let it happen."
"That's what Dad said." I mumbled into her shoulder.
"To let it happen?" She questioned.
I nodded and she laughed. "Who do you think told him that? Your father is not original." I laughed with her before we separated and she held my face. "He brings out the best parts of you, just enjoy it. Be happy. Have faith."
I gave her a hug and she kissed my cheek. "Now, im going to bother your father because he looks like he's starting another story and poor Kunigami looks like he's going to pass out."
I looked in his direction and she started laughing because she was right.
"You know." I looked to my right and smiled when I saw it was Reo. "I always thought you weren't into athletes." He smirked.
I chuckled and shook my head. "No athlete did it for me before."
He hummed and jutted his chin towards Bachira. "He's more golden retriever energy than ever before." We laughed when we watched Bachira's arms continue to wave around while he told a story.
"He's goofy." I said with a smile and he chuckled and shook his head.
"You're both so in love it's disgusting." He teased.
"I know I am." I smiled and he raised a brow at me. "What?" I chuckled.
"You don't think he loves you?"
I shrugged. "We haven't said it. We just got together."
He laughed and shook his head. "Oh, Y/N. He is crazy about you, doesn't say you name anymore. He just calls you 'my girl.' Don't get me started on his protective streak." He laughed.
I bit my lip, trying to stop myself from letting out a huge smile; I love that so much more than I expected. I felt arms wrap around me from behind.
"You bothering my girl, Mikage?" Bachira said and I melted into his hold with a smile.
Reo smirked and chuckle. "Nah, man. Just letting her know what you call her around the boys."
"Oh?" He kissed the side of my head. "Did you like that, lovely?"
