Geralt thought jaskier was going to die but instead he learned something about the man he loves

Jaskier had been cursed on his 18th birthday. He was to be the next Viscount of Lettenhove and his father wanted to make sure he held that spot for as long as possible.

He hired and mage to cast a spell to make jaskier grow slowly. At first jaskier didn't know what they did to him.

Once they had finished and left him alone in his room he grabed his lute and ran. He didn't stop tell he was halfway to the next town.

That night he slept in the forest alone curling against a tree. His body hurt and felt stiff, he assumed it was due to the spell.

By the time he reaches the town he felt a bit better. He could almost forget about it.

He played in a tavern trying to make some money for food. Instead he had bread thrown at him.

He dodges the pieces but picks them up putting them in his pockets. That's when he met the witcher, he was brooding in a corner.

Jaskier doesn't know what possesses him to walk right up to the man but he did.

Somehow it ended with jaskier following geralt. Jaskier was so excited by his new adventure that he forgot about the curse.

Ten years passed and jaskier hadn't changed. Not even a little bit, that's when jaskier realized when his father did.

He tried to make it a positive thing, he didn't grow old which meant he could be a bard for however long it took him to age.

He could live with a curse like that. It didnt effect his daily life. What he didnt expect was to get cursed twice.

The second time was far worse then the first. After the mountain jaskiwr was heartbroken.

He traveled back down by himself, once back in town he got attacked. One moment he is getting grabed and the next he is waking up tied to a chair.

Jaskier came to learn it was a fire mage name Rience. He wanted to know where geralt was.

When the bard couldn't give him an answer he burned his fingers one by one.

Eventually he ran out of area on his hands and face to burn. He then casted a curse so his wounds would heal quickly

It hurt far worse then anything else, once he was healed the fire mage started his torturing all over again.

The bard defiantly sang all the songs he ever wrote about geralt and if he wasn't doing that he was screaming from the pain.

Then yen and geralt found him and saved him. By the time they showed up it was the forth round of being burned then healed before getting burned again.

The whole way back to Kaer Morhen geralt kept saying he was sorry and taking care of jaskier.

The bard's hands healed thanks to the curse but he let the curse escape his mind as he accepts geralt is there and he is safe.

It was never brought up and everything with ciri took all of their attention so it slipped by.

With the fact ciri was being hunted by almost everyone they needed a plan. They had been traveling with their little group for a few days avoiding towns but they can't do it forever.

They knew where they were taking her but getting there with a big group without being notices is impossible.

They can't portal there because it could be tracked and then nobody would be safe.
