it was dark and cold. eleanor didn't like the dark or the cold. she didn't like anything about this situation, they were stuck in a box with about ten other humans that stunk with little airflow. it was disgusting.

terminus was a hoax, there was no sanctuary except a big red train with nothing inside of it. abraham said that he saw human bones and that must be what they were cooking, which meant they cannibals. eleanor was confused because she thought cannibals were the things pirates...apparently she was wrong.

then, the door of the train opened slowly. isaac muttered something incoherent before quickly pulling his sister into his chest, wrapping his arm around her head. if they were coming to select one of them for "consumption," it wasn't going to be her. he would make sure of it. two men walked in, followed by an older woman and a teenage girl. she didn't get a proper look because it was too dark, she couldn't really that see details.

another person walked in after them, just before the door shut. all she could see is that the last person was quite short, so they must've been around her age, and had shoulder length hair and a cowboy hat.

glenn gasped slightly, getting up from where he was sat and slowly approaching them all. "rick?" he said sheepishly. maggie followed after him and then sasha, bob and tara.

it reminded eleanor of the time when she got lost in the woods behind their house and the sun set, she was out there for hours, but she just kept running. eventually, her bestfriend maddison found her. eleanor was super happy to see her and in that moment, she considered it the best moment of her life.

"you're here." the man with the long beard, rick, said. abraham ushered his children up, following behind the rest of the people.

she got a better look at all the people on the other side. she wasn't sure how they were related, or if they were just found family. they all just looked like they loved each other.

her family was the opposite. you could tell they were all related but that didn't mean they loved each other.

"they're our friends." maggie explained to the other group, "they helped save us."

"yeah." a man with long, dark hair grunted. "now they're friends of ours."

"for however long that'll be." abraham added, making eleanor roll her eyes. they finally found people instead of constantly loosing them and now he was upset about it?

"no." rick shook his head, confusing everyone. "they're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out..." he says, walking towards the crack in the door.

"find out what?"

"they're fucking with the wrong people."

there wasn't a lot of downtime before they began to escape. rick sent the kids to one side of the train while the 'adults' talked on the other side. it was stupid because they deserved to know what was going on, too, she was sick and tired of being treated like she couldn't handle things.
