The blinding light faded, revealing a chaotic scene inside the factory. Nova staggered back, disoriented, as the remnants of the bomb crumbled around him. The countdown had stopped, and for a moment, the world felt still.

"Joe!" Timmy shouted, rushing in through the debris. His eyes were wide with concern. "Did you stop it?"

"I think so," Nova panted, still catching his breath. "But Viper... he's still here!"

At that moment, Viper emerged from the shadows, battered but not defeated. His face twisted with rage, he raised a device that crackled with dark energy. "You think you can just walk away? I'll make you pay for this humiliation!"

"Not today!" Nova shouted, summoning his energy for one final confrontation. "This ends now!"

The two charged at each other, fists flying and energy crackling in the air. Nova felt every punch connect, but he could see the determination in Viper's eyes-the man would stop at nothing to exact his revenge.

Timmy watched from the sidelines, his heart racing. "Joe! You can't let him win!"

With a surge of strength, Nova landed a powerful blow, sending Viper crashing into a pile of crates. But even as victory felt close, the reality of the situation loomed over him. Viper was desperate, and desperate men were dangerous.

"Valeria will fall, and you'll be the reason why!" Viper screamed, struggling to his feet. He pulled out a smaller device, a remote control that he held high. "You may have stopped my bomb, but I have one last trick up my sleeve!"

Realization hit Nova like a freight train. "What are you doing?"

"Say goodbye to your precious city!" Viper cackled, pressing the button.

Nova's heart dropped as he saw a small beacon light up on Viper's device. The countdown for another bomb began-this one even bigger than the last. "No! Timmy, we have to stop him!" Nova shouted.

"I'll distract him! You take care of the bomb!" Timmy shouted, his voice unwavering.

"Timmy, no!" Nova pleaded, but Timmy was already moving. He dashed toward Viper, a determined look on his face.

"Hey, Viper! Bet you can't catch me!" Timmy yelled, darting in and out of reach, drawing Viper's attention away from the bomb.

With a grimace, Nova realized he had to make a choice. He could go after Timmy, or he could try to stop the bomb. But deep down, he knew what he had to do.

"Timmy, keep him busy! I'll stop this!" Nova shouted, channeling all his energy as he prepared to confront Viper once and for all.

Viper sneered as he turned back to the device, ignoring Timmy's antics. "You think you can save them all, but you're just a boy playing hero!"

As Viper reached for the remote, Nova felt a surge of determination wash over him. "You're wrong! I'm Captain Nova, and I won't let you hurt anyone!"

In a blur, Nova launched himself at Viper, knocking the remote from his hands. The two tumbled to the ground, struggling for control over the device. The countdown continued to tick away-00:02, 00:01...

With one final push, Nova pinned Viper down. "You're done!" he declared, gathering all his energy for one final blast. "I'll end this!"

But as he prepared to unleash his power, he glanced over at Timmy, who was dodging Viper's remaining henchmen. In that instant, he realized the danger his friend was in. The bomb was still active, and if he didn't act quickly, it could mean disaster for them both.

"Timmy! Get out of here!" Nova yelled, knowing what he had to do.

Timmy looked back, confusion etched on his face. "What? No, Joe! We can do this together!"

"Go! Now!" Nova commanded, desperation fueling his voice. "I can't let you get hurt!"

In a split second decision, Nova focused all his energy on the device, feeling the heat build within him. If he detonated the bomb from the inside, it would destroy Viper and the threat he posed to Valeria.

"Joe, don't do it!" Timmy shouted, fear gripping his voice. "You can't sacrifice yourself!"

But Nova locked eyes with him, determination hardening his resolve. "I have to. This is the only way to save you and everyone else!"

As the countdown hit zero, Nova released all his energy into the bomb, creating a blinding explosion of light and sound. The force pushed him back, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze.

In that split second, Nova felt a rush of warmth and light envelop him. Images flashed before his eyes-Timmy, the city of Valeria, the friends they had made. It was all worth it.

"Joe!" Timmy's voice pierced through the chaos as the world around them began to fade. "Don't leave me!"

And then, everything went white.

---

As the dust settled, Timmy stood amidst the ruins, tears streaming down his face. He felt a sense of profound loss wash over him, knowing that Joe had made the ultimate sacrifice. The festival was gone, the bomb dismantled, but at what cost?

"Joe..." Timmy whispered, clutching the ground where his friend had stood. "You were a hero."

With heavy heart, he vowed to honor Joe's memory, knowing that their adventures were far from over. He would carry the legacy of Captain Nova with him, no matter what challenges lay ahead.

And somewhere, in the echoes of Valeria, Joe Mason's spirit would always shine bright.
