"Ready?" my brother smiles at me as I link my arm in his.
I shook my head but return the smile. "No, but I'll have to be."
The music started playing and it was our cue to go in. "Let's go," he said as we started walking.
Don't fall, don't fall. I told myself while tightening my grip on my brother's arm. I slowly started to look up from the ground and look straight, away from the small crowd and into his eyes.
Looking straight ahead, about 10 meters away, stood Harry Styles, the man whom I'm going to marry in just a few minutes.
I haven't known Harry for a very long time. It's only been 1 year since we have met. However, my life had never been more complete than it had in this one year.
My brother, Aiden, kissed my forehead before putting my hand in Harry's, and seating back on his seat in the front row.
I looked into Harry's bright green eyes as he stared into mine. His smile was brighter than ever and I'm sure mine was the same. We turned to the pastor as he started talking.
"Friends and family of the bride and groom, welcome and thank you for being here on this special day. We are gathered here today on this beautiful afternoon for the wedding of Audrey Rose Temple and Harold Edward Styles."
After he finished the introduction, Harry started his vows. "Audrey... I promise as your shield, to protect you with all my life. As your sword, to fight with you through all conflict. As your partner, to stay by your side no matter what. This is my sacred vow to you, to walk with you, hand in hand, in our journey, wherever life takes us."
I took a deep breath, realizing I've been holding it for a long time. Even though I told myself not to cry today, I still felt heavy tears in my eyes.
I smile to Harry before I start. "I remember when you first asked me about soulmates and I told you I didn't believe in them. Through each day we've been together, you changed my mind, realizing you in fact, was my soulmate. The person I'm meant to be for the rest of my life. The person I'll start a family with, and grow old with. As your lover, your companion, and your friend, I promise to be worthy of your love, because I love you, and I always will, forever."
I looked into Harry's eyes through each word I spoke. He smiled at me, showing his dimple while his eyes became glossy.
"Do you, Harry Styles," the pastor began. "Take Audrey Temple, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for rich for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as your lawful wedded wife?"
"I do," he replies.
"Do you, Audrey Temple, take Harry Styles, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for rich for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as your lawful wedded husband?"
"I do," I said, confidently.
"I now pronounce you as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride," the pastor said as he closes the book.
Harry pulls the loose strands of hair from my updo behind my ear and strokes my cheek. He leans in and his lips met mine. It's not like one of our usual kisses, it was more passionate and the feeling lingers as we pull away.
I threw the bouquet and a young girl around my age, caught it. I smile at Harry as we leave the venue with our friends trailing behind.
A gun was fired from a distance and I watch in horror as Harry fell back, with blood oozing through his tuxedo.
