*****UNEDITED*****
Ayyy double update.
~~~~~~~~
"Split up into threes!" Master Cross orders.
I quickly group myself with Aiden and a close-range shooter, Tyler.
"Come on, guys!" Aiden shouts.
As we enter, other groups started shooting guards to make way for us to go through.
As bodies fell to the floor, we took the stairs to the third floor and found the computer room. "Third floor, north, send backup. Over," I said through the intercom.
Aiden busy himself by hacking in their computer system while Tyler stays by the door to keep watch, and I stay near the window with my rifle ready for any form of threat.
"Shït," Aiden mutters. "This looks like it will take some time."
Footsteps neared the room and Tyler confirmed it was our backup. "Guard the doors," Tyler told them as he moved over to help Aiden with the many computers.
A crowd of people sudden emerges and enters the gate, running towards the mansion. They were all wearing black leather jackets and had many piercings, carrying pistols.
That's not our people.
I steadied my rifle as pulled the trigger and shot one of them in the neck, he immediately collapsed. I got their attention and the back shooters started aiming at me. I slid towards my right; away from the window and against the wall, to dodge the bullet. The piece of metal fell to the ground next to me and I step back behind the window for my next kill.
I was ready to shoot again, when a gunshot was heard from the door of the very room we were in. I lower my gun and turn around, seeing one of our shooters fall down.
"Aiden! Take care of the files!" Tyler shouts as he run towards the door with his pistol ready.
I climb on top of a desk for higher ground so I can snipe over all the commotion. I got a few shots but most of our shooters in the front are gone, dead.
"Surrender now!" Someone shouts, he had an Irish accent. "Before you regret it!"
Some of our shooters in the front dropped down their guns and put their hands up. "Please, let us go!"
Cowards. I groan as I slam the door close and lock it.
I turn to Aiden. "Almost done?" I ask.
"73% copied," he replies.
Tyler moves away from the door as he reloads, I jump in front to cover him, in case someone knocks down the door.
"Last chance to surrender before you all die!" The man on the other side shouts again.
"We are never going to surrender!" Tyler shouts.
A buzz goes off in my earpiece. "Retreat now!" Fück.
"They're not going to let us go, so no point in surrendering," I said to Tyler and Aiden. "We just have to try to hold it off as long as we can."
They nod, agreeing.
"We won't be able to break through all the people, but if we're lucky we can jump out the window and make a run for it," Tyler suggests.
I nod.
Someone kicked the door and I jumped. "Hurry! Block it!" I quickly said, moving a desk to the door. "The walls are bulletproof so they won't be able to shoot through!"
Tyler stacks another desk on top and we pushed against our temporary shield together, hoping the door won't bust open.
"Done!" Aiden shouts as he puts the flash drive in his pocket. "Let's go!"
We ditched the door and ran towards the window.
Some of our shooters were still there... trying their best to clear the area because some of us are still up here.
I cover them as Tyler puts a leg out the window and jump. "Aiden, go," I said as Tyler lands safely on his feet.
"No Audrey, you're going next!" He argues with a worried face.
"This is not the time for this, now go!"
"Fine," he mutters in defeat as he quickly jumps out as well.
I put one foot on the rim and held tightly on the edge.
A loud bang! startled me while I was about to bring my other leg up. The door suddenly cracks open.
Hurry up and jump, Audrey! Why the fück are you so slow?
As I was ready to jump, pain ran up my right thigh as I stare down at the bullet hole. Not even the next second later, another bullet shot up my left shoulder.
"No, stop!" A familiar voice shouts from inside.
I lost my grip on the window and started leaning down.
