The boardwalk

Scarlett held on tight to Michael as he flew down the road towards the boardwalk, the boy clearly not wanting to really be there but this would give him the chance to ride around Santa Carla as she hung out; look for a job or anything of the sort.

The girl found a nice bench after walking around for a bit, she sat down and pulled out her sketch book. She was looking around at all the interesting people, soon settling on a woman to be the first Santa Carla resident to decorate the blank pages of her book.

She had done four random drawns, just lines and curves, no detail but enough to see the person it was. It was simple but accurate to the being it was modeled after.

"You shouldn't be out here this late." A gruff voice said making her jump, the line she was focused on making now going through the face of a man. With glaring eyes she looked over her shoulder at Alan Frog.

"Yeah and why is that?" She asked as she turned back to her sketch book, Alan's eyes flickering towards the pages and he could definitely admire her skill set.  "Come on, we will give you the information you so clearly need on Santa Carla." He turned to head towards the comic book store, out of curiosity the girl stood up and followed after him, tucking her book under her arm.

Edgar looked up when he saw his brother approaching with the girl trailing after him. "What is she doing here?" He asked, some could potentially say curiously but it was hard to tell with these boys. "Wow don't you know how to make a girl feel wanted." She said with a scoff as she leaned against the counter towards him.

"Here." Alan went and grabbed a comic, sitting it down in front of her. She turned her brown eyes down to see the title "Vampires everywhere" a curious look crossing her face as she looked at him. "Vampires? I shouldn't be out this late because of vampires?" She asked with a rare giggle leaving her lips. The sound would have made her family smile but the Frog brothers gave her pointed looks.

"You should read it, it will help you." He pushed it towards her which she pushed it back. "Don't need to, I've read dracula, I've done plenty of research on the wonders that are vampires. I know about the supernatural." She told him confidently.

The two boys hummed in what she could only assume was a bit of approval. "That's good." Alan told her as he started to move around the counter they half expected her to leave but like a stray she stuck around the area.

She found a place to lean out of the way as she pulled her notebook back out, her eyes going between the brothers and her pages. "Why do you keep looking at us?" Edgar asked finally drawing her attention fully towards him. "Because I am turning you both into art." She said simply as she turned the book towards him.

Her sketches was what helped her, her anxiety, her racing mind and her disinterest. She found something calming and that provided her to have interest in something. Edgar looked shocked, the first real emotion she has seen flash across his face, at the artwork.

"Oh.." he said softly as he looked at how she managed to make them look brave but in a way soft at the same time. "That looks nice." He finally replied gruffly as he turned away.

Taking that as a win she finished it up. "I'll be back." She told them, she wasn't sure why she felt the need to tell them she was walking away or even why she was going to come back to them. She closed the book and started walking down the boardwalk.

She lifted a cigarette to her lips, lighting it as she took a deep breath off of it. Scarlett shoved her hands into her pockets, using just her lips to deal with the cigarette.

Carnival music played across from a carousal that was on the boardwalk. She glanced around before walking towards it, after paying the few dollars that was asked for the ride the girl walked onto the carousal, she looked around and found one of the seat ones that didn't move it was in front of another one that a man and woman already occupied. The two looked happy together.
