"Momo, you're actually so cool. And Takakura-" *cue Momo swoon*
"MOMO!! OKARUN WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"SHE JUST DOES THAT WHEN MY NAME IS SAID, DON'T BLAME ME!"
(Fighting between y/n and okarun persist as Momo slowly recovers from swooning)

Outside of the two girls' view however, the boy bashfully hid his happiness.
Eventually, the group came upon a Tori gate.

Pointing at the entrance to the gate, Momo started to warn Okarun.
"My grandma's really strict about boys, so be careful. She just about killed my last boyfriend. But you're good y/n, so you can relax."
"Huh? And you're telling me this now because...?" Okarun nervously adjusts his glasses as Momo walks past the tori gate. Y/n stands awkwardly besides Okarun, not knowing whether to comfort the boy or not.
Reluctantly, Okarun follows after Momo. As if walking right into a locked Roblox tycoon door, Okarun is set ablaze as he passes the gate.
"GYAAAAHH!" Okarun screams as his body is suddenly on fire.
"911! Somebody call 911!!" Y/n jumps back as she starts spraying Okarun with a water bottle she pulled out of nowhere.
"WHAAA?! What the hell is happening?!" Momo shouts in shock, surprised by the sudden barbeque.
"HYAH!" With Momo's quick thinking and scanning of her surroundings, she uses her psychic abilities to throw Okarun into the irrigation river behind y/n.
"SPLOOSH"
"Okarun are you okay?!" Momo worriedly yells after the boy she dunked. A thumbs up pops up out of the body of water to show that Okarun is somewhat okay. Steam evaporates from the boy as he slowly crawls out with some difficulty.
"What caused the sudden cook-out?" Y/n asks as she turns to Momo, shocked and confused.

"I think my grandma put a barrier thing up somewhere around here, lemme check." Momo looks around for clues of any kind. The girl was hoping it was a barrier that caused the commotion and not another creature of the paranormal...
Momo then spots a warding paper plastered to the tori gate facing towards the property.
"Is this why?" Momo questions. Simultaneously, Okarun shimmies his torso onto solid ground, completely drenched and rocking a granny perm. Y/n couldn't help but stifle some laughter.
"I'm so sorry, Okarun! It's protected by a mystical barrier!" Momo quickly apologizes to the boy. Y/n turns away from Okarun, not being able to control her laughter otherwise.
"I thought I was a goner..." Okarun sighs defeatedly. Momo then turns to the paper ward and picks it off the gate.
"It'll be fine if I just take it off for a minute, right?" Without another thought, the ward was shoved into the left pants pocket of the slug uniform Momo was still wearing.
