"Do we really have to do this Miss Ayase?" A certain raven-haired boy wearing glasses and a blue star trek costume asks. He shifts his glasses as he reluctantly follows after two girls dressed as Daphne and Velma in front of him. The three of them were currently following along a road in the countryside a couple miles from town. They were headed towards a spotlight pointed to the sky in the distance. The girl dressed as Daphne then turns around and starts pointing at the boy.

"Hey! Don't go chickening out now Okarun! There shouldn't be any real paranormal activities where we're going. Why not have some fun for our first Halloween together." The girl, named Momo, retorts back shrugging in a 'why not?' manner. She was right after all; they had been facing a bit too much of the actual paranormal lately and deserved a fun get-away.

"I think Momo's right, besides, a haunted maze is advertised as haunted because they have scare actors. There's no actual ghosts, aliens, or monsters! We don't have to worry about fighting them!" The Velma of the group, Y/n, adds in agreement. However, her body seems to be acting in contrast to her own words. Her whole body is shaking and her skin glistens in a nervous sweat.

"Miss Y/n... I think you're the most reluctant out of all of us..." Okarun says partly out of worry and partly out of exasperation. Momo gasps as if taken offense in Y/n's stead.

"At least the girl's trying! That's why we're besties! Let's just go have fun!" Momo slings an arm around Y/n, rubbing cheeks together. This action causes Y/n to blush, but she doesn't push Momo away. Perhaps she enjoys the affection. 

The two girls then continue walking and Okarun drags his feet along after them. The boy pouts but truly isn't all that upset. After all, he's hanging out with people he cares about.

A moment later, Momo freezes and smirks before swiveling her head to Okarun.

"Wait, this way you can act like you have balls! Try and be a man by not getting spooked!" Momo proudly shouts at the poor boy with no balls. She then pouts cutely with puppy-dog eyes as she leans her body closer to Y/n and opens her mouth, "Oh Okarun, you'll protect us defenseless girls won't youuu?" Adding obvious tones of sarcasm to a few words.

Y/n and Okarun stand shocked before having different reactions. Y/n cups her face with her hands acting all cutesy, then makes the same face as Momo at Okarun. Okarun gasps offendedly multiple times while gesturing back and forth between him and the girls.

"Are you saying that out of actual concern for my stolen balls or are you making light of my situation?! Huh?!" Okarun playfully fights back.

"What if I say both?" Momo sneers at Okarun, clearly having fun.

"Fine then! I'll prove to you that I am a man even without balls!" Okarun then puffs up his chest as he proudly steps past Momo and Y/n. The two girls look at each other and giggle before following after him.

"Thanks, Okarun! Now, let's go have fun! I need to let out all the pent-up stress!" Y/n shouts to the boy taking the lead. It was hardly visible, but Okarun's ears turn a subtle shade of red.

"You said it girl! Hurry before the line gets too long!" Momo then grabs Y/n by the hand and pulls her along to chase after Okarun. The walk to their location turns into a race, laughter and playful jeers can be heard the whole way there.
