The hunting memories
----------------------------------------
Emily was the girl everyone noticed. She had striking beauty, with flawless skin and captivating eyes, and she was also the smartest in school, always at the top of her class. Her intelligence and beauty made her admired by all, but her aloofness kept her distant, making her seem even more unattainable. As Emily strides through the halls, heads turn. Whispers follow her, but she’s used to it. Boys admire her from afar, girls wish they could be her, but no one dares to get too close. She’s like a queen walking through her kingdom—regal, composed, but with a heart that no one can reach.
Student 1: (whispering to another)
“Look, it’s Emily. She’s so gorgeous, but have you ever seen her smile?”Student 2: (shaking their head)
“No, she’s always so serious. I don’t think anyone’s ever seen her laugh.”Emily hears the whispers but doesn’t react. She’s perfected the art of indifference. With her books clutched to her chest, she makes her way to the school grounds, seeking the solitude she craves amidst the noise of her adoring peers.
______________--------------_______________Scene: The Football FlashbackAs she steps outside, her gaze inadvertently falls on the football field where the school team is practicing. The sight of them stirs something deep inside her—a memory she’s tried to bury. She pauses, her breath catching slightly, as a flash of the past hits her.
Flashback:
She sees Jack, just as he was back then—full of life, his eyes bright with passion as he dribbles the ball with ease. His voice echoes in her mind, so clear it’s as if he’s standing right next to her.Jack: (in her memory, with a grin that lights up his face)
“Football is everything to me, Emily. One day, I’ll make it to the national team. I swear, I’d die for this game.”The memory is brief, but it’s enough to send a pang of pain through her heart. Jack was more than just a friend; he was a dreamer, and she was the one who believed in his dreams. But that was before he left, before he shattered everything they had.
Back to the Present:
----------------------------Emily quickly shakes the memory away, her expression hardening as she resumes her walk. The past is the past, and she refuses to let it control her. She has a new life now, one where she’s in control, where no one can hurt her.
Emily: (thinking to herself, resolute)
“Jack’s gone. He’s nothing to me now.”She finds her usual spot under a tree, far from the field, and sits down, opening her book. The words blur in front of her eyes, but she forces herself to focus. She won’t let old memories ruin the life she’s built for herself.
Even as the whispers of her classmates reach her ears, even as the memory of Jack lingers in the back of her mind, she remains steadfast.
She’s Emily—beautiful, brilliant, and untouchable. And she’ll keep it that way, no matter what.
