I follow Silvia down the long hallway my dress dragging behind, the hallway is dark but I've gotten use to it growing up here I know every hallway, every room and every hiding spot to get away my life.
"Hayden" Silvia says bringing me back.
"Yes" I say quickly.
"Were here" she says pointing at the large double door.
I sigh as Silvia fixes up my tiara, with a quick nod Silvia walk away down the hall, the double doors creak open and I make my way inside gracefully and look inside at the massive crowed.
"Princess Hayden (last name)" the man that opened the door yells
I walk down the stairs, every eye is on me but I'm use to them by now, every week is the same.
I weave throught the crowed trying to find somewhere to hide away for the night, a hand grabs my bare I jump a bit as I turn a small smile apears on my lips."Lucas" I say and I give my bestfriend a quick hug
"Hey Hayden" he says with a pearly white smile.
His blond hair is pulled back with hair gel, his crisp black suit fits perfectly and not a single wrinkle shown. Lucas is the only person I can be myself around aand knows me for me.
"What are you doing here" I ask him.
"You know I wouldn't miss one of these parties" he chuckles " and I couldn't leave you here alone"
"Sure, you just wanted the food" I laugh.
"You caught me" he puts his hands in the air playfully.
We chat as we slowly make our way to the desert table, Lucas eats but I stay away remebering what happened last time I tried to eat something.
"Hayden" I hear my mothers high pitched voice say.
I turn around to see my mother and father walking towards us, my mother looks gorgous as usual her hair pulled back into a neat bun with a large tiara sticking out of it, a long green dress clings to her skin showing of her body, my father looks as he usually does a black suit fitted perfectly and a crown rested a top his head.
"Mother, father" I great them both with my best smile.
"We've been looking everywhere for you" my mother scolds.
"Sorry, I've just been hanging out with lucas" I explain.
"You should go find Philip we need him with us now" my father responds.
"Yes father" I sigh.
"Good, I'm sure Lucas can find something to do why your gone" he says.
I nod and say a quick good bye to Lucas and make my way over to Philip, he's sitting in the corner with a bunch of girls, I role my eyes at him.
"Philip" I say.
"What do you want, Hayden" he says not taking his eyes of the girl next to him.
"My farther told me to come find you" I say.
"Why" he asks
"I don't know" I shrug my shoulders
"Fine" he grunts.
He gets out of the chair and follows me through the crowd, I find my parents by the stairs and farther smiles when he see's us.
"There you are" he says with a smile.
"I was walking around looking for Hayden the whole time but she ended up finding me" he says raping his hand around my shoulder.
"Very well" my father says.
We make our way to the top of the stairs, my mother and father at the front and me and Philip behind them.
A trumpet blows and all eyes turn to us waiting to hear the big announcement."Thank you all for coming to this special night" my fathers voice booms throught the room "I know you have all been waiting to here what we have to say".
The whole room looks at my father in amazement waiting for the great news.
"The princess is now engaged to sir Philip (last name) and will soon be wed" my farther says..I stand there frozen not believing what I just heard, Philip's hand tighten around my shoulder, my heart is beating out of my chest.
How could they not tell me.
Anger takes over and all I can see is red, I storm up to my father."No" I shout in my farthers face loud enough that everyone can hear me "No".
