The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. In a cozy café tucked away on a quiet street, Reneé and Y/N sat across from each other, sipping steaming mugs of herbal tea. The aroma of fresh pastries filled the air, mingling with laughter from a nearby table.

Reneé brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, her hazel eyes sparkling with excitement. "I can't believe we're finally here, just the two of us," she said, a hint of nervousness in her voice. It was their first official date, and the butterflies in her stomach were both thrilling and terrifying.

Y/N, with her y/h/c hair framing her face, smiled warmly. "I know, right? It feels like we've been waiting for this forever." She reached the table, her fingers lightly touching Reneé's. The spark was undeniable.

They had met in college, both majoring in music. Reneé was the outgoing one, always surrounded by friends, while Y/N was more reserved, preferring the quiet comfort of books and art. Their paths crossed in a group project, and what began as a collaboration quickly blossomed into a friendship.

As they chatted, the conversation flowed effortlessly. They shared stories of their childhoods—Y/N's love for painting and Reneé's obsession with dance. Reneé loved how Y/N's eyes lit up when she spoke about her art, and Y/N admired Reneé's passion for life.

After finishing their tea, they decided to take a stroll through the nearby park, where the evening air was crisp and refreshing. Leaves crunched under their feet as they walked side by side, a comfortable silence settling between them.

"Can I ask you something?" Y/N said suddenly, breaking the quiet.

"anything" Reneé replied, curious.

"What was your first impression of me?" Y/N's voice was tentative, but her curiosity was evident.

Reneé chuckled softly. "I thought you were the most intriguing person in class. You seemed so deep, and I wanted to know what was going on in that head of yours." She paused, looking directly into Y/N's eyes. "I guess I've always been drawn to the quiet ones."

Y/N blushed, a smile creeping onto her face. "That's funny. I thought you were super outgoing and intimidating at first. But I loved how passionate you were during discussions."

Their laughter echoed in the stillness of the park, a shared understanding forming between them. The chemistry was undeniable, an electric current that made every moment feel charged with potential.

As they walked, the stars began to twinkle overhead. Y/N glanced up, a wistful expression on her face. "Do you ever think about what the universe has in store for us?"

Reneé looked thoughtful. "All the time. I believe everything happens for a reason, and meeting you was definitely meant to be." She paused, her heart racing. "I've really enjoyed getting to know you, Y/N. It's like... I've found someone who truly gets me."

Y/N's heart swelled at Reneé's words. "I feel the same way. It's been so refreshing to have someone I can be myself around."

As they reached a small pond, the water shimmered under the moonlight. Reneé turned to Y/N, her voice softer now. "Can I tell you something? I've had feelings for you for a while, and I wasn't sure how to tell you."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat. "Really?  I've felt the same way" The relief and joy in her voice was palpable.

Reneé smiled widely, the tension that had built between them dissolving into pure happiness. They stood close, the world around them fading away as they finally embraced the truth of their feelings.
