Two months. Sixty days. One thousand four hundred and forty minutes. That's how long it had been since Y/N and Reneé first kissed, since their hands first touched, since they first fell in love.

But it felt like a lifetime.

For two months, they had lived in the realm of screens—texts, video calls, and phone chats. There were late-night conversations filled with laughter and longing, and a sense of comfort in hearing each other's voices at the end of a hectic day. It was beautiful, but also painfully distant. Because the screen wasn't enough. Not when they had so much more to give each other.

It was like being trapped on different continents, yearning for the moment when the miles separating them would finally vanish.

Now, that moment was here.

Y/N stood at the airport, gripping the edges of her luggage with one hand, the other holding tightly onto her phone. Her heart raced, a mix of excitement and nerves swirling inside her. She had a knot in her stomach that only those two months of waiting could have created. They'd sent countless texts, shared the most intimate thoughts, but now, she had to finally be in the same room as Reneé. It felt surreal.

The flight from her city to Reneé's had been exhausting. She couldn't sleep, couldn't think of anything else but the girl waiting for her on the other side of security. The constant thought that had floated in her mind was: What if it's not the same? What if it's awkward? What if we don't click the way we did before?

But Y/N shook her head, pushing those thoughts aside. This was it. She was about to see her girlfriend, and nothing could take that away from her.

As the minutes ticked by, the crowd started to thin out. The familiar sound of rolling luggage and chatter filled the air, but Y/N's focus narrowed in on the one person she had been waiting for.

Then, there she was.

Reneé stood a few feet away, her eyes scanning the crowd. She wore a simple, cozy sweater, and her hair fell around her face in soft waves. Her eyes locked with Y/N's, and the world around them seemed to pause.

Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her heart leaping into her throat. In the midst of all the chaos, there was nothing but Reneé, her smile as radiant as ever, the kind of smile that made Y/N's knees weak.

"Reneé," Y/N whispered to herself, the word escaping her lips like a prayer.

Reneé's gaze softened, and the smile that spread across her face was pure, genuine, and filled with love. She started walking toward Y/N, her steps quickening as she closed the gap between them. Y/N could hardly believe it—this was real. She wasn't dreaming, wasn't imagining it. The woman of her dreams was finally standing in front of her.

Reneé stopped just inches away from her, and for a brief moment, neither of them said a word. They simply stood there, their eyes meeting and exchanging everything they had been feeling during the months apart.

"I missed you so much," Reneé finally whispered, her voice filled with a quiet awe.

Y/N's throat tightened, and she could feel the tears threatening to spill. She couldn't contain the joy bubbling inside her, the relief of finally being in the same place. She reached out, her hands trembling slightly as they touched Reneé's arms.

"I missed you, too. More than you know."

Without another word, Reneé pulled Y/N into her arms, holding her close as if she never wanted to let go. The embrace was warm and comforting, and Y/N felt like she had found her home. The two of them melted into each other, the world outside falling away until there was nothing but them.

For a long moment, they stood there, not needing to speak, just existing together in the space they had longed for. The feel of each other's touch was electric, like a spark had ignited between them.

"I can't believe you're really here," Y/N murmured, her voice muffled by Reneé's shoulder.

Reneé pulled back slightly, just enough to look at Y/N with soft, adoring eyes. "I'm here. I'm finally here."

"I'm so glad you are."

Y/N's fingers brushed Reneé's cheek, her thumb tracing the line of her jaw. She had imagined this moment a thousand times in her mind, but nothing compared to the reality of it. Reneé was warm and solid in her arms, and Y/N couldn't believe that she was actually here, in front of her.

"You're even more beautiful than I remember," Y/N said with a smile, her voice soft and full of affection.

Reneé chuckled, her face lighting up. "I was hoping you'd say that."

Y/N couldn't stop herself from grinning, her heart swelling with affection. "You have no idea how much I needed this."

Reneé leaned in, her lips brushing against Y/N's forehead in a soft, lingering kiss. It was gentle, tender, and full of everything they had been holding back.

When they finally pulled away, their hands naturally found each other. Their fingers intertwined, as if they were finally putting the last piece of a puzzle into place.

"So," Reneé began, her voice teasing, "What now? You've got me here, right in front of you. What are we going to do with all this time?"

Y/N smirked, a playful glint in her eye. "I have a few ideas."

Reneé raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Like what?"

Y/N's smile widened as she tugged her girlfriend toward the exit. "Let's start with getting the hell out of this airport. We have a lot of catching up to do."

The two of them laughed, moving together like they had always been in sync, as if they had never been apart. The air around them felt lighter now, filled with the promise of everything they had been waiting for.

As they stepped outside, the cool evening breeze kissed their faces. The world was still turning, people still bustling around them, but it felt like it was all secondary to the two of them. Nothing else mattered now. They were together.

Reneé looked over at Y/N, her hand still tightly clasped in hers. "So, what are we doing tonight?"

Y/N thought for a moment, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Well, we could go out to dinner. I know a great place near here. Or..."

Reneé leaned in, cutting her off with a playful grin. "Or?"

Y/N's grin widened, and she leaned in close, her lips brushing Reneé's ear as she whispered, "We could just go back to your place. We could order takeout, and I could spend hours catching up on everything I've missed about you."

Reneé's breath hitched at the suggestion. She pulled back slightly, her lips curving into a knowing smile. "Sounds perfect to me."

As they walked together, Y/N felt like she was walking on air. The past two months had been filled with longing, uncertainty, and impatience, but now, as they moved forward hand in hand, everything felt right. The distance, the screens, the late-night calls—it all seemed so insignificant compared to the reality of being with Reneé.

When they finally reached Reneé's apartment, the door swung open to reveal the cozy space she had called home for so long. It was simple but warm, filled with little touches that made it uniquely hers. Y/N couldn't wait to make memories here with her, to create a new chapter in their relationship.

They spent the evening nestled on the couch, with takeout spread out on the coffee table between them. They laughed, ate, and talked about everything they had missed during their time apart. They recounted stories, shared dreams for the future, and made promises to each other in the quiet moments of connection.

As the night drew on, Y/N leaned her head against Reneé's shoulder, feeling the warmth of her body against her. Reneé's fingers ran softly through her hair, and the sound of her steady breathing calmed Y/N's racing heart.

"I think I could get used to this," Y/N murmured, her eyes closing as she basked in the closeness.

"I hope you do," Reneé replied softly, her voice full of affection. "Because this is just the beginning."

And for the first time in two months, Y/N finally felt like she was where she was meant to be.
