Eun woke up earlier than usual, knowing he had a full agenda for the day. He started by doing some chores, brushing his teeth, grabbing breakfast, and squeezing in a workout before taking a shower. By 9am, he was already out the door.

Meanwhile, it was 4am in Lin's country, and not wanting to disturb her beauty sleep, Eun decided against sending her a message. "She must be having a rough time," he whispered to himself, shaking his head as he left home.

When he arrived at the courier office, Eun approached the counter to have his items prepared for shipping. He made sure everything was carefully packed, each item wrapped in bubble wrap to avoid damage. He also included a bouquet of flowers he had bought on the way, ensuring it was packed securely in the box with the rest of the items.

There were 10 items in total in the package, and Eun had exceeded the weight limit, resulting in a charge of £890.00, which was equivalent to $1,600.31 CAD in Lin's country. Without giving it much thought, he paid the amount-after all, it was a gift for his love, and money didn't matter much to him. He provided Lin's email address to the courier agent so she could track the parcel as well. Eun had decided to reveal the surprise to Lin after settling the bill and completing the courier arrangements. He felt relieved once the process was successful. The parcel would take about 3-4 working days to reach Lin, as Eun had opted for express delivery.

Glancing at his watch, Eun saw it was already 10 am. He knew Lin would be up by now, busy getting her children ready for school, preparing breakfast and snacks, and then getting herself organized after they left at 7 am. Realizing he needed to rush back for an urgent meeting, Eun quickly sent Lin a good morning message before heading into the conference.

Lin, however, hadn't checked her phone, leaving it upstairs in her bedroom while she prepared her children for school. It wasn't until after they had left on the school bus that she finally noticed the message. Sitting by her bedside, she checked her phone and saw Eun's text from two hours earlier. She read it, smiling and blushing, before making her bed and heading for a shower to start her day.

Beeep. With a soft vibration, Eun noticed an incoming message from Lin. He smiled and quietly chuckled as he read her words, fighting off his tiredness. A warmth surged through his body, flooding him with affection. Lin's message made him feel deeply loved, and at that moment, he wished she weren't so far away.

Distracted by her message, Eun found himself losing focus during the meeting, his thoughts drifting back to Lin.

Lin was determined not to stay late at the office today. She left right at 7pm and headed to the supermarket to pick up some groceries before going home. While driving, she thought about what would satisfy her cravings. Since she had bought Brussels sprouts, chicken breast, salad, and fruit, she decided to whip up a simple salad bowl. She'd toss everything into her favourite bowl, drizzle it with her beloved roasted sesame dressing, and relax on the couch with Netflix while enjoying her meal. The thought of it already had her salivating. Yum!

Excited to watch her series on Netflix, she tuned in to "YOU" Season 3, a popular series based on a novel about a bookstore manager and serial killer who falls in love with a woman and becomes obsessively infatuated with her. The series was wild, and Lin couldn't get enough of it. Her taste in stories had always leaned toward thrillers, crime scenes, investigations, and romance.

As she happily enjoyed her salad, a notification popped up from her email. Feeling slightly puzzled, she paused the movie and opened the email. Her curiosity piqued, Lin read it slowly, then read it again, catching her by surprise. The attachment in the email had fully captured her attention.

Lin couldn't believe what she was reading. In disbelief, she quickly took a screenshot and sent it to Eun without a second thought. Without considering what Eun might be doing, she hastily forwarded the screenshot along with a brief text.

Without waiting for Eun's reply, Lin immediately called him. "Babe, what did you do? Please be honest with me!"

Eun, still feeling sleepy, answered groggily, "What did I do, babe? I didn't do anything stupid. I didn't go out partying or date other women."

On the other side of the phone, Lin slapped her forehead. Gosh, this guy can be so cute at times, she thought to herself. "Not that, babe! The screenshot I sent you. Didn't you see it?"

Still clueless, Eun checked his phone while staying on the line with Lin. "Oh, that!" He cleared his throat with a little cough, "Erm... surprise, love! It's for you, and I hope you like it!"

Lin felt a wave of emotion wash over her, touched and utterly speechless. Despite the deep feelings she had in that moment, a part of her was still upset. Eun had spent money on something she hadn't asked for and didn't particularly want. Just having him by her side was more than enough for her.

But, as curiosity always gets the best of us, Lin couldn't help but ask again. "Babe, what's the gift all about? What's the occasion? And what did you buy?"

Eun, ever the man of surprises, refused to reveal anything. "It's a surprise, love," he insisted, still keeping the details of the package a mystery.
