Ichika stopped washing the clothes and dried her hands, then went out the front door to grab the mail, once she had grabbed it she went back inside and gave it to her stepmother. "Here you go." Ichika said as her stepmother grabbed it, she then went back to washing clothes.
"Oh?" Ichika heard her stepmother say, Ichika felt interested now and washed clothes quieter so she could hear. "What does it say?" Haruka walked up to the stepmother and asked. "There will be a dance in the castle's ballroom and everyone in the village is allowed to come." The stepmother replied, "It's tonight, Haruka get ready we're going shopping for new dresses." she demanded.
Ichika finished washing two dresses and hanged them up to dry before walking up to her stepmother, "Can I come too?" Ichika asked, her stepmother looked at with slight disgust in her face. Haruka looked at her stepmother then at Ichika, "I think it would be wonderful if you were able to come." Haruka smiled at Ichika. Stepmother looked at Haruka, "Yes," she said, "That would be wonderful, but unfortunately, Ichika has more chores she has to do." stepmother cracked a grin, "How about this, if you can finish all your chores and get dressed when we're about to leave for the dance, you're allowed to come." She added. Ichika felt her face light up, "Yes!" She celebrated, "I'll get it all done!" Ichika went straight back to doing laundry, if she wanted to come to the dance she better hurry up her chores.
Haruka put on her shoes and follow her mother outside, praying Ichika gets done in time to come. They walked into the market part of the village and looked around for dresses, "Haruka, don't you think that one is fabulous?" her mother asked pointing at a beautiful sky blue dress, Haruka nodded.
