Tsukasa looked around, he was meant to find a wife.

... marriage

He didn't feel like any of the women here were wife material, he didn't even know them. Who marries a random woman they know nothing about?

"Tsukasa!" Saki called, she ran up to where he was standing, "There's so many people here! I didn't know we had that many people in the village!" her eyes sparkled, Tsukasa could tell how excited she was. Tsukasa put his hands on his hips and stood up straight making himself look bigger. He let out his usual loud laugh, "You'll love meeting all of these people, Saki!" He said, his smile reassured Saki. Saki looked at everyone dancing and talking, "I want to go greet them!" Saki giggled, "Can I?" She asked Tsukasa, he nodded and Saki excitedly went to say hi to them.

"Good Luck!" Tsukasa shouted as she disappeared into the crowd, he hoped it would go well for her. While Saki was distracted he could just disappear into a different room to get away from all of this. No, that's not a good idea. He had to be here, whether he had to find a wife or not, it was Saki's celebration, this meant everything to her, she would be crushed if her older brother wasn't there to celebrate it.

Toya walked up to Tsukasa, "Hello," Toya greeted him, "Is this a good time?" he asked.

Tsukasa nodded, "What's up?"

"Your father would like to know how you're doing, have you found anyone that could be your wife?"

Tsukasa looked down and sighed, "Afraid not, I don't know any of these women, it's weird to ask a stranger to marry you."

"How about we start off with finding someone who looks interesting and then you go talk with them and have a dance?"

"I guess that works."

Toya scanned the ballroom.

Ichika stepped into the ballroom, it was crowded. Ichika started to feel a little worried about the amount of people there are. She took a deep breath and headed towards the steps, the moment she put her foot on the first the room sounded quieter than before. Ichika could feel the eyes on her, she got worried.

"Tsukasa!" Toya tapped on Tsukasa's shoulder, Tsukasa snapped out of his thoughts and Toya pointed at Ichika, "How about her?" he suggested. Tsukasa looked at her, he couldn't deny that she was beautiful; maybe he'd give it a shot. Tsukasa nodded, "Thanks Toya!" then he headed to where Ichika was. Ichika made it to the bottom of the steps, still feeling anxious, the thought of Haruka and stepmother being here came to her head, what if she made the wrong choice and she'll get in trouble? Ichika kept walking into the crowd, yet she began to fear, what would happen to her once she was home, what if her stepmother was correct about her looking bad, what if the sorcerers pulled a prank and made her see she had pretty clothes on but to everyone else they're hideous? Was it too late to turn back?

"Excuse me,"

Ichika's thoughts were interrupted as she looked in front of her, she turned pale and froze.

"Hello." He smiled at her

Ichika immediately bowed, "Y-your Royal Highness.!" She felt her face turning red. Meeting the prince and instead of immediately greeting him, she froze and stuttered. Tsukasa offered his hand, "Would you mind having a little chat?" he asked, still smiling brightly. Ichika took his hand, "N-no!" Ichika stuttered again, "Not at all!"

"That's great! Follow me." He then walked through the ballroom, still holding onto Ichika's hand, leading her. Others moved out of the way as they saw them passing through.

Tsukasa went outside into the back garden, "It's easier to breathe out here." He finally let go of her hand. Ichika appreciated him taking her to a less crowded place, "Thank you, Your Royal Highness.," she smiled, "What did you want to talk about?"

"Oh, nothing really special, I just decided I'd know more people in my village and you stood out to me so iI decided I'll talk to you first."

Ichika turned red again, out of everyone, she stood out?

"I never caught your name?"

"I-Ichika Hoshino."

"Ichika Hoshino.. I think it's a decent name."

"Thank you, Your Royal Highness."

"You don't have to keep saying 'Your Royal Highness', as much as I appreciate being looked up to, I prefer Tsukasa Tenma."

"S-sorry.. T-Tenma.!"

"No need to apologize! I just want you to see me as a friend!"

"Right.. I'll try to get used to it!"

"Ichika...Why are you upset? What's on your mind?"

"W-what do you mean?"

"You seem upset, like scared, what's bothering you?"

"I'm just not used to being in a place like this, especially talking to someone who's in a high position.."

"Yeah, I understand that. It's not really fun being a prince, I always have to deal with formal conversations and now I have to find a wife to be king because my parents think I can't be king without one."

"Oh? That must suck.. I wish you best of luck!"

"Thank you. I don't want to hold you up though, we could go back inside if you want!"

"I don't min—"

"Tsukasa?" Saki came outside, "Why aren't you inside?"

"Oh, Saki," Tsukasa smiled at her, "I was just having a conversation with Hoshino." He pointed at Ichika, Ichika smiled and waved. Saki's eyes lit up as she looked at Ichika, "I wanted to say hi to you!" Saki sounded excited, "You look so pretty, when you came down the steps I resisted yelling how pretty you looked! Where did you get the dress? Wait I forgot to ask your name! Sorry!"

Tsukasa laughed at how excited Saki was, Ichika smiled yet felt embarrassed, both of the royal siblings noticed her. "I-it's fine! I'm Ichika Hoshino.. And a friend made me this dress."

"I'M CALLING YOU ICHI!" Saki yelled, very excited.
