Aakash's POV:

Finally the day has arrived when Naina and I are officially going to start our wedding preparations. Our wedding will take place in Goa, in a beachside resort since both Naina and I are fond of beaches. But, Naina wanted to have a small roka ceremony in her hometown before we kickstart the wedding celebrations.

Naina's parents arranged for a small ceremony in their home. Their hall room has been decorated with white and pink flowers, just like Naina loves. Around ten people have participated from Naina's side, including her close friends and family.

and Mom, Rahul and I have flown from Mumbai. I don't have any close relatives and my close friends couldn't come at such a short notice. Besides, I want to keep my wedding guest list to a minimal because of the amount of chaos that press keeps making trying to capture our private moments. Both Naina and I want our wedding to be very private and intimate.

(Going to have a small collaboration with @thequinnkiyaaww and her story "Beyond the Veil of Love")

As I was sitting in the hallroom eagerly waiting for Naina to come down, since I have missed her a lot in the past two weeks, a very close friend of mine, Saad Sheikh, called me-

"Hey buddy, I heard you have your roka ceremony today", Saad said.

"Yes, idiot", I replied, "I have been trying to contact you for sometime, where are you nowadays?"

"Well...you can say that I have been busy finding my own bride", Saad replied with a little laugh.

"What? You are planning to get married? Who's this girl????", I asked him excitedly.

"It's a long story. I am having an arranged marriage. I will tell you everything later. But first, tell me you are going to come to my wedding! You have to!" Saad asked me.

I realised that I have an extremely tight schedule, specially since I have to wrap up everything before both the families go to Goa.

"Ummm, actually I have a very tight schedule, Saad. Extremely sorry. But please come to my wedding with your newly wedded wife", I invited him, again.

"Ah, yes my newly wedded wife", he said in a sarcastic tone. I did not understand his sarcasm. Besides, his marriage news was definitely very sudden and he was never the type to have an arranged marriage. But, I realised that it might not be the best time to ask him questions so we both decided to wrap up the conversation.

As soon as I ended the call, Sneha walked upto me and whispered-

"Hey, jiju, you are looking nice, but Naina is definitely going to steal the show, she is looking like a bomb"

I blushed a little. Well, according to me, my Naina always looks like a bomb.

Just then, Naina's mother walked to us, and said-

"Beta, I hope you are comfortable. Our house must certainly be very small compared to yours"

"I am very comfortable, aunty....umm...can I call you mumma?", I asked her.

She nodded with a wide smile and then I assured her once again and my family and I are very comfortable with their arrangements. Maa was busy talking to Naina's relatives, my mother is a social butterfly and she certainly likes any place where she can have tons of people to talk to. Sometimes I feel bad that such an extroverted person lives alone in her apartment, but that's her choice afterall.

And of course, Rahul is sulking in the corner with a cold drink glass in his hand. Ever since I have informed him that I am marrying, he has been behaving like a child. According to him, no man should be married before he is at least thirty!

Honestly, even I did not think that I would end up marrying so soon. But, Naina has changed everything, and that's for the best.

Finally, Naina started coming down the stairs. She was wearing a light pink lehenga with light jewelry. She looked like the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.Oh, wait, Naina is definitely the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.

Sneha was bringing Naina, so I decided to get up from my seat and walk up to her. As soon as I offered my hand to her, Naina blushed, and everyone in the room started giggling.

"Awww, jiju is extremely impatient when it comes to his bride", Sneha said. She kept teasing us as Naina and I walked towards the small sofa kept in the middle of the hall.

I stood in front of Naina and asked her to stop before she sits down. She looked at me confused.

I gestured at Sneha and asked her to play the song which I have chosen for the evening, Sneha played the song on speaker (I won't give up on us by Jason Mraz)

When I look into your eyes, its like watching the night sky or beautiful sunrise, there's so much they hold....

I looked into Naina's eyes and slowly whispered, "I love you, Naina. I will always love you no matter what!"

When you're needing your space, to do some navigating, I'll be here patiently waiting, to see what you find....

"I love you too", Naina whispered with tears in her eyes and a wide smile on her face.

We both sat on the sofa. Naina's parents came forward and gave her hand in mine, and Naina's father said-

"Take care of my daughter. I know I haven't been a perfect father, but I will pray that you both are perfect for each other".

I nodded and replied- "I will do my best to love and take care of her till my last breathe"

I won't give up on us, even if the skies get rough, I have given you all my love...

Naina looked at me with love as I squeezed her hand tightly assuring her that I will be with her forever. I am her forever, and she is my forever.

Next, my mom walked upto us and handed a gold bangle to Naina-

"This is a family heirloom, welcome to the family, Naina", she said with a smile.

We both got up and then slowly bent down to touch the feet of both our parents and then the other elderly members.

As soon as we were done, I held Naina's hand and intertwined our fingers.

Naina looked at me shocked and then looked around to see if anyone noticed us holding hands like that. Finally, she pulled her dupatta and covered our hands, as she tightened the grip.

We both smiled at each other. There was a feeling of content and happiness, all around us. I made a small prayer to God, I hope it always stays this way.
