Sidharth and Sana had reached their college, but things were no longer the same. Sana had been keeping her distance, avoiding him in ways that made Sidharth feel unsettled. At the same time, Manya had also withdrawn, staying away from both of them, which left Sana confused and Sidharth even more frustrated.
Sidharth noticed that Sana wasn’t behaving like her usual self—no friendly banter, no late-night conversations, just cold silence. Sana, on the other hand, was baffled by Manya’s sudden change in behavior, but she didn’t want to talk about it with Sidharth either. It was as if everyone had built walls around themselves, leaving Sidharth to wonder why everything had become so complicated.
One evening, after class, Sidharth decided he couldn’t take it anymore. He saw Sana walking toward the campus library, her head down, avoiding eye contact as usual. He quickened his pace and caught up with her.
"Sana, wait," Sidharth called out, his voice firm.
Sana stopped but didn’t turn around. “What is it, Sidharth?” she asked, her tone distant.
“I need to talk to you. What’s going on? Why have you been avoiding me?” Sidharth asked, stepping in front of her.
Sana finally looked up at him, her expression unreadable. She crossed her arms and said, “There’s nothing to talk about. I just... I thought you’d be busy with Manya.”
Sidharth frowned, confused. “What are you talking about? Why would I be busy with Manya?”
Sana let out a small laugh, though there was no humor in it. “Oh, come on, Sid. I saw you two together. You don’t have to hide it from me. Congratulations, by the way, on being with her. I just hoped that as yoir best friend you will tell me yourself first.😒”
Sidharth was taken aback. “What? Sana, wait. How do you know that we’re together? I never said anything.”😕
Sana raised her eyebrows, looking at him like he was being ridiculous. “I saw her proposing you, Sid. I saw the way she looked at you, and the way you...”
Before she could finish, Sidharth grabbed her wrist gently, stopping her. His voice softened but held a touch of frustration. “Is that why you’ve been ignoring me? Because of what you think you saw?”
Sana tried to pull her hand away, but Sidharth didn’t let go. He looked into her eyes, searching for answers. “Why does this bother you, Sana? Tujhe farq kyu pad raha hai? Tumhe to khush hona chahiye na, if I’m with Manya?” He added with a smirk, hoping to ease the tension, but Sana’s expression didn’t change.
Sana turned her face away, biting her lip to stop her emotions from spilling out. “It doesn’t matter, what I think.” she muttered, trying to leave again.🥺🥺
But Sidharth wasn’t going to let her go that easily. “No, Sana, you can’t keep walking away. Answer me. Why does this affect you so much?” His voice was firm, but not harsh.
Sana’s shoulders tensed, and suddenly, she couldn’t hold it in anymore. She turned around, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, and before she knew it, the words tumbled out of her mouth, louder than she intended.
“Because I’m in love with you, dammit! Pyaar karti hoon tumse mohabbat ho gyi hai! But you’ll never love someone like me, will you?” Her voice cracked as the tears she had been holding back finally fell. “And it’s fine. It’s fine, Sidharth. I’ve accepted that!”
Sidharth stood frozen, completely taken aback by her confession. He watched as Sana tried to wipe her tears, but they kept coming. She turned to leave again, but this time, Sidharth couldn’t let her go. Not after what she had just said.
He reached out, his hand still holding her wrist, and gently pulled her back toward him and wiped her tears.
"Sana..." he whispered, his own voice shaking slightly as he took in the weight of her words.
But before he could say anything else, Sana said " It's fine sidharth I am sorry and ran from there ." Sidharth just left standing there till her words completely sinked in him and he had a victory smile😁 on his face thinking " She loves me , My sana loves me 🥰, Just wait baby ready for biggest surprise 💘 💘".
